To find these people odd

In Mothercare today I take DD into the baby changing, a mother is there changing her baby, her toddler is standing on the surfaces with the dad supervising and talking to him. The kid asks to go outside and play with the toys, the dad says “no, we have to stay here whilst mum changes sister”...err why?!
Why is this a group activity? There’s not enough room in these changing rooms anyway, they smell- why wouldn’t you rather the toddler go and play with his dad? Also I got into the room after them and finished way before- why do some people take an age to change a baby: expose, wipe, close...what am I missing?

It would irritate me having to squeeze in with a family if4 to change 1 baby one if them should have just waited at the door so they didn't take up space.

Also the toddler standing in the changing table is annoying unless he was socked ir bare foot.

I know a family that do everything together loudly it's eye rolly

I think the most likely explanation is
They just all went in because they like being together/habit/who cares?
Toddler asks dad a question, dad cba to say anything other than 'because we have to stay here...'
not for one moment thinking this trivial occurrence would be judged by someone with nothing better to think about.

Congratulations on having a baby who lies still and allows you to do it quickly. How v smug of you to tell us all.

Why do people care if families do everything together? There might be good reasons. As I've said above, I have an invisible disability and DH is my carer but you wouldn't know to look at me. People may have anxiety, mental illnesses or disabilities. You can't tell and if it doesn't impact on your life, why judge? It's batshit.
