I woke up to see/hear drunk DH piss on the laundry floor a bit then end up in the laundry sink, I am disgusted and want to leave it for him to mop up.
We dont have any dc to step in it and only the cat is inside, would I BU to leave it for him?
Hes never done this before!

It will, stink by the morning, take a photo and show it to him in the morning.maybe he just couldn't balance to piddle in the sink. If he's really really drunk keep him on his side, has he peed his pants. I would clear it up, could be worse, could be poo or vomit, not saying its ok though.Angry

AnnieAnoniMouser · 31/03/2018 21:00

Take a photo then clean it up because otherwise it’ll soak into the floor or cupboards/appliances & it’ll stink.

If it’s the first time he’s ever done it, then just talk to him about what happened.

Aria2015 · 31/03/2018 21:01

I'd clean it up for my own peace of mind. If he doesn't do this kind of thing very often id just laugh it off. Most people who drink have got a bit too drunk at one stage and I think it's a forgivable offence if it's very infrequent.

BewareOfDragons · 31/03/2018 21:06

He's not ill, he's drunk.

Leave it for him. And read him the riot act loudly about it as he's sure to have a sore head.

Grim.

Zeelove · 31/03/2018 21:06

What's with all the men pissing themselves then ?

specialsubject · 31/03/2018 21:07

Is it hell. Swilling to incontinence is disgusting. The attitude that it is a jolly jape is why our hospitals are so full on Saturdays, and also why the Darwin award gets used so regularly in places with rivers and bars. Good riddance, but not for the dependent left behind.

Not funny.

SomeKnobend · 31/03/2018 21:09

Yanbu. That is his mess to clean up in the morning. I'd wake him nice and early to make sure it's dealt with asap. No way I'd be cleaning up a grown man's piss for him, gross.

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 31/03/2018 21:10

No one said he is ill?he is intoxicated.its sensible to put in recovery position. Try keep him on his side with head turned to the side (the recovery position
Keep his airways clear so he doesn’t choke

ComedyBoobs · 31/03/2018 21:17

I think the best recovery position would be to wake him up & hand him a mop, if you're feeling generous.

cdtaylornats · 31/03/2018 21:19

Women are just as bad. I shared a flat with two women, when they were out on the piss one night, at their request I made bbq spare ribs and left them on low in the oven.

In the morning it was a scene of devastation. They hadn't made it to their beds and were out of it in the lounge/kitchen. The oven was still on, there was bbq sauce all over the table and splashed on the walls. When I thought I better check they were alive they were covered in it too. One of them even had sauce on the back of her head.

ErrrrrNo · 31/03/2018 21:19

My oh did this once, but he went in my cupboard (opposite side of the room to the bathroom)and pissed in my shoes! I didn't realise until I went to put them on the next day, also my son has gone and started peeing out the front door but that was sleep walking rather than beer induced!!

TheWonderfulCat · 31/03/2018 21:20

Retirednow that is true, if it was poo I dont know what I would do
Cleaned it up so i dont end up stepping in it when i get up. Really glad i did, there was a trail from the front door

An ex of mine peed in our laundry basket once when drunk. Fortunately it was empty. I cleaned it immediately - the infuriating thing was he refused to believe he'd done it the next day Angry.

butterybean · 31/03/2018 21:23

I'd clean it up, make sure he's ok, stick a bowl, a towel and a pint of water next to where ever he is lying and then in the morning make many lols about the whole thing then get on with life. It's not really a big deal and we've all been there.

TheWonderfulCat · 31/03/2018 21:25

Buttery, I went one step further and gave him a blanket

Cant say I've ever gotten drunk and pissed myself, but hey

Rudgie47 · 31/03/2018 21:25

I'd let him choke, he sounds too disgusting to be saved anyway.
Plenty of men do this. One woman I know used to wrap a large bath towel like a nappy round her husband because after drinking he would do everything in bed otherwize.
Anpther friend said she had to keep ripping carpets up and getting rid of the settees because her husband had pissed on them when he was drunk. She couldnt have a friend back for years because she was worried about the smell of wee.

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 31/03/2018 21:27

Don’t be so irresponsible. He doesn’t deserve to choke

TheWonderfulCat · 31/03/2018 21:30

Rudgie thats a bit rough... Hes usually very kind and considerate, as I said in the OP this is the first time its happened

OP posts:
ComedyBoobs · 31/03/2018 21:32

I think we all have different standards, Rugdie, I personally wouldn't be mopping up someone else's piss, but there you go.... funny old world

stayanotherday · 31/03/2018 21:32

I wouldn't like it. If somebody's ill that's different. It was wise to clean it as it would smell.

willynillypie · 31/03/2018 21:41

Never had a partner pee anywhere, but an old friend of mine once got so drunk when she was having a sleepover with me, she stood up next to my bed and peed ALL OVER MY FLOOR. I asked her if she was peeing and she said (mid-pee) "no", and in the morning I saw the horrendous job she had done of clearing it up, and had to wash my bedding due to the amount that got on sheets that dragged on the floor...and she did not once apologise, help or bring it up and I was wayyyyy too embarrassed to say "you peed on my floor please do this". Really wish I had though!

BrendasUmbrella · 31/03/2018 21:42

It's not really a big deal and we've all been there.

Yes we have, when we were too young to have bladder control. But over the age of three? No...

RoseWhiteTips · 31/03/2018 21:42

How can you live with someone so revolting?

RoseWhiteTips · 31/03/2018 21:43

And no, we have not all been there.

Babyplaymat · 31/03/2018 21:45

So much depends on whether this was a regular occurrence. My DH very very rarely drinks to excess, and very rarely goes out. Is a fabulous and engaged husband and father etc. So if he got as drunk as described here I would mop it up, tuck a blanket round him and leave him with a bucket next to him. Hand him some water and paracetamol in the morning and then spend a quiet day together tomorrow gently ribbing him for it. Much like I would expect him to do for me.
