Just that really 😊

Somewhere between twice a week and once a fortnight, depending on weather and social schedule. I have sparkling water, a small lager, or a glass of red wine.

Sashkin · 30/03/2018 18:39

We live in London so definitely no talking to other locals! Confused The horror! It’s bad enough when the bar staff recognise us.

Wishfulmakeupping · 30/03/2018 18:39

Once a week on average more in summer- we live across the road from village pub. Normally I drink beer if I’m drinking or they do lovely coffees a vanilla latte if I’m not drinking drinking :)

fruitpastille · 30/03/2018 18:40

What do you like drinking at home? They probably have it in the pub.

I'd have wine or posh lager or g&t if in mood. Diet coke or lime&soda for soft drinks. Often a bag of crisps or peanuts with it.

Sometimes have a cup of tea later on in evening.

I sit and talk to whoever I've gone there with. Usually friends not dh as we can drink and chat at home!

Sprinklesinmyelbow · 30/03/2018 18:40

I love the pub, it’s my favourite place to be. So as often as possible which is sadly only about once a week. I drink wine

PuppyMonkey · 30/03/2018 18:40

Two or three times a month usually for Sunday dinner and then occasionally in the evening if we can get a babysitter. I drink white wine by the bucket load.Grin

There are three good pubs in our village so we alternate between all of them.

speakout · 30/03/2018 18:43

Never. It's 20 years since I set foot inside a pub.

Davros · 30/03/2018 18:44

Seriously?! That's very insulting

Springtrolls · 30/03/2018 18:47

At least once a week.
I drink anything with alcohol in. Well apart from Gin.

extinctspecies · 30/03/2018 18:47

DH is in the pub at this very moment with our teenage DS's (one of whom is old enough to drink).

I prefer to stay at home, but when I do go to the pub I almost always drink white wine, unless it's a pub where I know the wine won't be nice, when I'll have a half of dry cider.

Always with cheese & onion crisps.

Sprinklesinmyelbow · 30/03/2018 18:50

If you go to a proper London pub you can meet all sorts of interesting people. If you go to a pub populated with people who moved there from Surrey, less so Wink

hellokittymania · 30/03/2018 18:50

I haven't been in over a year. I don't drink, so when I go are usually have hot chocolate or coffee. Or Sunday dinner, I know that's not drink, but that's why I went last time. I only know of one pub in this area though, I'm sure there are more but I don't know where there are.

Springtrolls · 30/03/2018 18:53

What I do depends who I’m with.
But generally we chat, drink, chat
To the bar staff and even the locals. So not sure what the London comment was about

eggcellent · 30/03/2018 18:53

Gin with lemonade & lime GinGin

Fintress · 30/03/2018 18:54

Every few weeks, drink either G&T or a cocktail. AbsoluteGonk you might enjoy Rhubarb and Ginger gin liqueur (Edinburgh Gin) with ginger ale. It's alcoholic but not as strong as gin.

IHaveBrilloHair · 30/03/2018 18:55

Never, I do like a drink but just have one at home.
I drink lager, it's the only alcohol I like.

Sashkin · 30/03/2018 18:56

Insulting to who? We are polite and tip well, we just don’t want to chat. I doubt the bar staff do either, but they feel they have to. I spent many years as a barmaid and didn’t like the forced smalltalk with regulars when I was on that side of the bar either.

Some random old woman plonked herself down at our table while we were eating a couple of months ago, and started chucking DS1’s chin and cooing at him. He rolled his eyes and blew a raspberry. I knew exactly how he felt!

AnnabelleLecter · 30/03/2018 18:57

Once a fortnight to meet with a big group of friends and watch live music and dance.
Once a week (different pubs) for early doors and pub grub more when the weather improves and we can walk there with the dogs and sit outside.
Every few weeks with other friends.
I don't drink much, DH loves all the real ales.

Davros · 30/03/2018 19:00

Sashkin the implication of your first post was that people in pubs in London are unfriendly and don't want to talk to you. It's now reversed into you not wanting to talk to other people or welcome friendliness Hmm

PuppyMonkey · 30/03/2018 19:01

Evil old women daring to admire your child in a pub. Tsk.

  • disclaimer - I don’t know what chucking means in this scenario. Confused
lalaloopyhead · 30/03/2018 19:01

Once or twice a week, to meet up with friends. I would usually have wine, or if not drinking a coffee or a soda water with a wedge of lime. If it is more of a party occasion I would possibly opt for a cocktail.

cushioncovers · 30/03/2018 19:04

About once a month to meet various friends. Usually have food and then a lemonade and lime.

Notso · 30/03/2018 19:07

I dont go to The Pub as in having a local. There is one DH doesn't mind going but I hate it.
I do go to other pubs though. Not very often, less than once a month. I drink all kinds of things, lime and soda, fruity cider, lager and lime, shandy, wine, Bacardi and come, gin and tonic... I could go on.

Sprinklesinmyelbow · 30/03/2018 19:08

Bacardi and come Shock are you sure you’re it’s a pub? Wink

TheVanguardSix · 30/03/2018 19:08

2-3 times a year.
Aspall draught cider for me! Lovely stuff!
