To be annoyed that my neighbour took my washing in for me when it started raining?

Ok, yes I am being completely totally unreasonable, it was a lovely thought, she is very sweet.

However she just bunged it all in the basket and by the time I got home it was so creased. I am a bit control-freakery with my washing and I fold it and organise it into piles as I take it down from the line. I don't iron so this way works for me. Now I have a huge pile of creased unorganised washing to fold and sort.

Yes, I told you, I am being unreasonable, I should be thankful that I have such I lovely neighbour (I am, really) but I though you would all enjoy a bit of my grumpiness

I am with you with the folding and organising to avoid ironing at all costs, so I sympathise with the but bless her!

but otherwise you'd have had a pile of organised, uncreased but very wet washing that would have needed to be washed or dried again. Yes you are being unreasonable, I think that is very sweet - but understand the laundry control freakery thing.

If she brought it in when it was raining, I expect that getting in quickly so she did not get too wet was more of a priority than sorting/folding your clothes for you. But I agree, she could have sat down with a cuppa and done this in the dryness of her own house tho...

She sounds very kind. Perhaps if you told her how much extra work she'd caused you, she'd help with the ironing? Or would that be pushing it a little?

yabu! but i know where you are coming from - when my mum stayed after i had dd she was amazingly helpful - but i found i was bu to be annoyed at the way she pegged the clothes up

You sound like me Do you take it down in categories as well, children's t-shirt first, then their trousers, socks, pants etc. so that when you get inside you go in to their room first to put their stuff away and then into your room with your stuff.

I know what you mean about creased washing and nor ironing - I am the same.

Maybe tell her it was a lovely thought - but not to bother next time - it doesn't matter if it gets wet - you weren't in a hurry for it.

YABU, but if you have an airer then put it all on that when you have a shower or hot bath most of the creases should drop out and it will respond obsessive compulsive folding.

When my mum came to visit I was unreasonably irritated that she loaded the dishwasher the 'wrong' way, so I sympathise.

You are totally reasonable - my neighbour brings it all back folded and ironed (even the smalls!).
