I live opposite a football stadium. Purpose built flat. When there’s a match, people always use our shared drive. They can be fined but the private company (not council) who issue the penalties are never here.

I don’t care too much if the odd car nicks a space for a match but what pisses me off is when a brand new Audi or BMW (same culprits I think) take up two spaces, leaving residents with no where to park.
Or today there was a merc parked out there and they filled a bag with rubbish from their car and chucked it on our shared front lawn.
One of the neighbours picked it up and taped it to the windscreen. When the match was over i took a picture of them take it off and throw it back on the lawn. Arseholes.
Then they flipped me the bird as they drove away.

I’ve got their faces and number plates and photos of them throwing the rubbish away.

Will the police care at all about this? Is it too petty? I just hate rich aresholes who think they own the world.
Last week a brand new BMW pulled off their fine (opposite, council owned) and threw it into our front lawn.

It just really fucks me off.

Should I just get over it and drink some wine instead?

what about those posts that you can take off?www.toolstation.com/shop/p16712?r=googleshopping&rr=marin&utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=googleshoppingfeed&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIiNbt_MGF2gIVCs-yCh14Vgs7EAQYAyABEgIucvD_BwE
you'd need to drill into the concrete to fix the base plate then you could just put it up on match days.
Why are people so inconsiderate. Makes me sad

abigailsnan · 24/03/2018 17:48

Report to the Council for fly tipping and give them the Reg Number and call the Parking Company you are obviously paying a Service Charge so tell them you want the service you are paying for.
Or accidently splash red paint about whilst you are painting something in your driveway !!

HateSummer · 24/03/2018 17:51

Scratch their cars! So many vandals around, they'd be so MUCH safer parking elsewhere...

God, why do people suggest things like this?...please don’t scratch people’s cars. There’s a correct way to go about things and becoming a vandal isn’t a correct way. 😒.

QuitMoaning · 24/03/2018 17:56

If you damage their cars then you lose the moral high ground. Just don’t do it.
I hate people thinking they just can park anywhere

But I also drive a BMW and hate people who judge me for it when I try to always be considerate and courteous.

Block them in, make it annoying and difficult to park there. But do not damage their cars.

KittenBeast · 24/03/2018 17:58

Block the fuckers out, make sure they can't enter on match days, what are they going to do? knock on your doors and ask you to move your cars? Absolute bastards. Also complain to the football club, keep taking pictures and videos. Unfortunately things like this rarely get resolved, because the elite are vile twats.

CatStacks · 24/03/2018 17:58

rubbish isn't fly ripping is littering
the swearing in public is public order
and it's easy to stab tyres

wildduckhunt · 24/03/2018 17:58

Report it to the football club - they rely quite heavily on good relationships with their neighbours.

mummymummums · 24/03/2018 17:59

I don't know if the police will be interested if this is private land, but I'm not sure if it is private land.
I was with friends once in a park and one ticket machine was out of order. A friend parked in a proper space very close to it. Returned to his car to find an old man smearing very ripe banana all over his windscreen. Friend asked the old man why and he replied that friend had parked too close to ticket machine and he couldn't get to it. Friend pointed out large Out of Order sign and the old man shuffled off.
It was a right pain getting the banana off. Bananas could be an option Grin

JustVent · 24/03/2018 18:01

I won’t scratch their car! I certainly wouldn’t inflict damage. I would inconvenience them by letting down their tyres but I wouldn’t cause damage.

I’ve been tempted to block them in before but I’ve been worried that they might ram
my car.

However if they have a very young top of the range car and I have £900 14 year old car, they wouldn’t want to ram it.... would they?!

Scratch their cars!

What a thing to suggest. Be a common thug! Risk prosecution! Yay 🙄

I'm sure the OP is not an idiot.

DopeyDazy · 24/03/2018 18:03

dogshit under the door handles is always a winner. If they haven't got young kids they probably won't have baby wipes and have to drive to nearest shop with their hand out of the so row. Great if the passengers are impatient to get in and are caught as wellGrin

DopeyDazy · 24/03/2018 18:04

window not so row poxy phone

Els1e · 24/03/2018 18:05

I would go local paper. Plus get a residents commitee together and block the entrance

LookyLooky · 24/03/2018 18:05

I’d tape lots of big notices all over their car or something like that.
You can try reporting it to the stadium and perhaps you could report it to a community policeman if you have them.

Also, how about posting the photo on local Facebook supporters pages or something?

Branleuse · 24/03/2018 18:06

knife their tyres. Cheeky fuckers.

AlpacaLypse · 24/03/2018 18:07

AlpacaCar is very ancient and very dirty. I do slightly rely on this to force my way out turning right onto the main road, which can take ages unless you are bloody minded.

mercurymaze · 24/03/2018 18:08

If you let down their tyres they 'll be there fit ages trying to fix them

Jon66 · 24/03/2018 18:11

Perhaps next time you have a problem with this, you should tie a few tin cans to their exhaust, pop a potato up their exhaust, and shaving foam their windscreen. Lipstick on the windows is a bugger to get off. Olive oil or vegetable oil over the windscreen is also a real problem and invisible. But don't do the olive oil if its raining, could be a bit dangerous. Maybe you should use vegetable oil for the cheaper cars. But definitely olive oil for the mercs!

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 24/03/2018 18:13

I've heard that lipstick on the windscreen is hard to remove...

CoraPirbright · 24/03/2018 18:14

As a total aside, I had to go to Wembley recently and didn’t even think about the parking until a few minutes before I was due to leave [blush Hmm. I went on one of those rent-my-parking-space websites and rented a brilliant space about 2 mins from the stadium. Perhaps you could do this - no space for any cheeky fuckers and you can make a few bob!

Abouttoblow · 24/03/2018 18:14

I'd block them in and then go out for the day......and night Smile

stillvicarinatutu · 24/03/2018 18:16

the police will act if you report this - you have their number plate which will lead to the keeper of the vehicle so i would urge you to absolutely report this on 101 (not 999 obvs!!)

i would happily deal with this for you!

Oddish · 24/03/2018 18:18

I don’t understand the ‘new Audi/bmw’ thing, does it soften the blow a bit when it’s a knackered old Saxo?

Tantrumschmantrum · 24/03/2018 18:21

Report them. In the mean time enjoy this parking story, miggt give you some ideas!
