... to feel ashamed of being Globally represented by Boris&May?

Just that really.

Like most weary Brits, I've been following the playground antics of these two in their desperate bid to turn everyone against Russia.

Their whiny complaints remind me of a child that needs civilizing and being taught a lesson in 'how to get on' with people.

Am I alone in feeling embarrassed at their representation of us otherwise nose-to-the-grindstone Brits?

Fuck me, anyone with any scepticism of our government following the lies of:

Brexit bus
Tuition fees tripling
WMD's
etc

questioning what the Daily Mail says is now apparently a "Kremlin troll". Because no-one with their own brain could POSSIBLY question the official newspaper version if things don't add up, right?

Hilarious. Feel free to check my long time post history if you want (which are mainly on baby name, MIL and SAHM threads........)

They aren't the best, but much better than the opposition for sure. This country would be fecked under Momentums Communist Corbyn and his comrades.

VladmirsPoutine · 23/03/2018 00:54

My entire family would need to be held hostage before I'd ever consider voting for the Conservatives but I do think that May is doing remarkably well in keeping composure in what is an impossible job and pursuing a ridiculous exit from the EU. She's 'just about managing'.

I'd set Boris on fire for free. He's an over privileged conniving bastard. He should not be in his job, he shouldn't even be in government full stop. I wouldn't even trust him to organise a piss-up in a brewery. But we are where we are.

I don't personally feel ashamed of being British but I do feel ashamed for them. Vestigial notions of imperialism got us where we are. Thus here we are.

@Apollo

Actually, literally anyone could have made it

Surprise surprise, BoJo has basically done nothing but dick-waving....

It's even on bloody Twitter. They now look completely incompetent. Maybe they should have finished the actual investigation first.

SarfE4sticated · 23/03/2018 01:08

Who would you want to be represented by? Either party, I'd be interested in hearing your political 'dream team'?

ThisIsTheFirstStep · 23/03/2018 01:11

British people are always like ‘the world is laughing at us!!!’

Calm down, mate. 99% of the world couldn’t give a shite about the UK, we’re not an empire any more, ya know.

The only reason my non-British husband even knows who Theresa May is is because I showed him the fields of wheat thing. Every time she comes on telly, he shouts ‘fields of wheat!!’

FranticallyPeaceful · 23/03/2018 01:19

Unsure if the feeling of shame or sheer fear is stronger tbf.

And i would rather Corbyn was leading us ANY day of the week.

counterpoint · 23/03/2018 01:23

How high are the security clearances of Counterpoint and Yolo that they expect information to be shared with them?

They've shared a lot but now I expect some evidence. They've already told us what the substance is supposed to be. They've already told us what it can do. They've already told us who they think made it. So ..... now ..... how about some evidence for all this?

What's the alternative?

... to feel ashamed of being Globally represented by Boris&May?
derxa · 23/03/2018 01:48

Do you write for the Guardian?

tobee · 23/03/2018 01:50

So who do you reckon it was then Yolo?

By the way, it was Labour MP Ian Austin who made the original comparison between Putin and Hitler. Although Boris did agree. Just sayin '.

tobee · 23/03/2018 01:52

Oh it's on Twitter! And from Labour Insider... oh well it must be true then! Hmm
