..to not cancel my tickets?

Probably a boring one...

I have tickets for a musical in London on Friday afternoon after wisdom teeth extraction on the Tuesday morning. I've never had surgery before but AIBU to think I will be fine to sit on a train and sit through a performance after 3 days recovery?

As I have the week off work anyway, the Tuesday really is the best time for the surgery so it isn't an option to change it. I've emailed to ask about the cancellation policy of the tickets, but based on everyone's thoughts I am going to see how I feel on the day. At worst, I suppose I can give the tickets to a friend.

It's Book of Mormon, I've been wanting to see it for months! :(

My 15 year old daughter had oral surgery recently. Upon coming out of the GA she was pleased it was over, said it was better than she expected etc and was v well. She was at school the next day, but taking continual pain killers. She seemed more under the weather for the next week than she was for the first day. I think it seemed to worsen when swelling came up, but she still missed no school. I would think you're very likely to be similar. I don't suppose you'll be feeling 100%, but with painkillers, I would think you're likely to be able to go.

Changed my mind! The Book of Mormon is worth (quite a bit but the sounds of it) discomfort! We went last January and it was one of the best nights out we had all year.

But - I was the poster that had just swapped tickets for another Delfont Macintosh production at very short notice and they were very helpful.

It really depends. If they’re all reasonably easy extractions and all goes well you’ll be fine. Maybe a bit sore, but fine. If they’re badly impacted and it’s a bit of a fight to get them out, then you might be able to force yourself through it, but it won’t be much fun.

My top two wisdom teeth came out easily, and recovery was no different than getting a regular tooth taken out. I was back at work 12hrs later, and within about 3 days it was like nothing had happened.

My bottom two on the other hand were a nightmare. My face was badly bruised because of the force it had taken to rip them out, I had dry sockets, I couldn’t eat regular food for weeks and at times it honestly felt like I’d broken my jaw I was so uncomfortable.
