To ask you for your driving test tales?

Driving test next week (NC as don't want anyone to know when!)

Feeling rather apprehensive as I'm old and two of my kids have already passed their tests

Thought that some tales of great driving tests would really help reassure me right now! Trying to get my positive and confident head on.

@Aeroflotgirl it added £4 a month into my partners policy (his car). I'm ancient though to be fair 😫

I got told to hurry up round a large roundabout in the first 5 mins of test. Thought I’d failed then tbh. So carried on not really giving a shit. Near the end of the test I tried chatting with the examiner she told me “shut up and concentrate.” Definitely thought I’d failed then. Turns out I’d passed with only the one minor at the roundabout and she didn’t want me become distracted chatting and fail me after such a good test. I burst out crying (I was 5 months pregnant) I couldn’t believe it. My instructor was so proud because I’d put the hours in with him had my own car daily. I was his best pass !!!
Ten years pior I failed my driving test 4 times I just couldn’t do it.

Oh right FooFighter I would have to do my own, as dh is not keen on adding me, just in case he looses his no claims. He is not convinced that I am safe, though today I had my driving thoroughly assessed by the instructor in anticipation of the test next week, and he said that I was very good just need to speed up a bit more.

Crappywife that is awsome, I failed 4 manual tests 20 years ago, and have my first one since in an automatic next Thursday. Hope that I have some luck .
