To wonder why the name needs to be said....

A number of friends have children that go the Pre School or nursery and those are the terms they use.
However one friend has a child that goes to a Montessori nursery and she always says " just dropped ( blank) at Montessori" whereas the rest will say something like " just dropped ( blank ) at nursery " etc.
Is this usual or is it a subtle boast that they consider it superior.

I'll be sending my toddler to a Montessori school next year and I certainly will NOT be calling it that ! Nursery will suit me just fine !!!

One I previously worked in was called 'NAME OF ROAD Montessori School'. People called it Montessori, in the same way other referred to their child's nursery by name. Not necessarily wanky, but definite wanky potential

There's a Youtuber I've watched in the past (don't anymore as they're too grating), and they always referred to it as "Montessori". "We just dropped so and so at Montessori", "So and so is at Montessori, so we're doing..."

This is my sister. After the first twenty million times of hearing her call it "Montessori" DH caved and said "what the fuck is a Montessori!" She went on to explain at length. To which he said "oh it's a nursery".
She has barely spoken to him since as according to her it's NOT.

I find people who do this are seeking approval of others, its really sad. Used to work with someone who always had to mention the car they were driving, changed it that often so couldn't keep up! always dropping randoms into conversation about it 'oh the heated seats....' and 'my neighbors saw the merc and now they're getting a BMW sports car'. Everyone used to comment and take piss behind her back.
