To ask you to help me work out what this song sounds like

The intro of this song is really familiar. DH says it's not, other than having a bit of an 80s vibe. I'm sure it's a sample or a copy of another song. Google is not helping. Can one of you?

All good suggestions but none of them. It's specifically the hook of the woahs at the start that are just so familiar. Simple Minds is closest possibly.

DH said last night that the sound is so spot on to reference the era that it probably sounds like loads of things and not one particular memory for me. Given the amount of suggestions that all definitely match up perhaps he's right.

It's still annoying me though. When I sing along to the woahs part I'm ready to launch into a totally different song and it never happens

Aaaah Angelo I missed your first post when I came on here. I think that might be it!! It must be. I think the woahs were separately familiar to the opening chords hence my confusion.
