DS has a(nother) virus.
We've been to the GP twice since Saturday, because his temp has been consistently over 39.5, and slow to respond to calpol/Ibuprofen (better response to calpol unusually for him).
I've taken him to the GP because he often gets tonsillitis and becomes very very unwell (have a look at my posting history for 6 months of drama) - but this time there is no sign of anything except a viral sore throat and slightly snotty - literally nothing. He is teething about 5 teeth simultaneously but I know that that wouldn't cause a fever like this.
Apparently lots of kids at the nursery are the same - high fever, fine and bubbly as ever when they've got calpol in them, but as soon as it wears off, they're in a state with super high temps.
WHAT IS IT? AND WILL IT PLEASE FUCK OFF BEFORE I LOSE MY JOB, OR MY MIND?????
On a deadline for a project and my absence has not gone down at all well - but am LP with v little support network here, so it's pretty much not an option to not stay at home with him. Cant take him in with me as I usually would because everyones working flat out towards the deadline and he's a distraction.
Not really an AIBU, just a wail of despair....
