To want a handwritten card?

Namechanged for this, just 'cause.

Got a mother's day card through the post yesterday and it's from a website with the message printed - I live with my DP and six month old son, and I know DS can't write the card himself anyway but this says to me that DP just couldn't be bothered to walk the ten minutes to town to pick a card out and write in it. Most of the time he will physically go get one but that just makes me feel even worse when I get one from a website because I know it's not "his thing" to get them online - it's just that in this instance and a few others he's thought "I could go to town or I could stay sat here on the sofa and order one online in two minutes".

Or am I just being ungrateful?

Unless it’s delivered by a Raven with a note written in gold leaf on velum, I feel it’s very disappointing.

Good heavens. No card, no present, only a card and mug, not a handwritten card, not even a mum and still complaints. What is wrong with You??
