To think someone on our street doesn't like us?!

We might be annoying. Dog likes to bark, though we bring her in when she starts. We live on the corner so perhaps our vehicle blocks people's view when turning into the road (we have a large van). We have small DC but they haven't been out in the garden to play for ages. We are end terrace and the ndn swear blind they can't hear us.

Recently our van has been egged (ndn informed us before it dried, luckily!), our recycling bins have been nicked, and today I noticed a pile of (full, tied) bin bags under our carport that aren't ours?!

AIBU to think someone nearby is pulling some mildly annoying passive aggressive stunts for some reason?

Fwiw if they had a serious grievance and just spoke to me about it I would try to come to an amicable agreement/solution. Just in case they are reading....

(None of these incidents are likely to be linked, it's just odd)

Are you going to park the van there permanently now or have you found somewhere else to park it & it’s just there overnight?

We used to have neighbours that would park their huge, dirty, van outside our house, right up to the edge of the drive so it was hard to get a car onto our drive. It was annoying because we couldn’t park (our second car) there, but not illegal so...but what did annoy me was they parked it there because they didn’t want it outside their own house! So bloody rude.

Ok, back from work

and I'm a sahm so she isn't left for long

🧐🤨

You sound lovely & funny, but a tad confused about your own employment status 😂🤣

You say the dog isn't left home alone for long as you are a SAHM but also say you've just got back from work?

Haha, yes. I work about 10-15 hours a week, evenings and weekends so someone is home when I'm out. I am home in the day and I've been a sahm for years so I guess I just default to that description.

And yes, we'll park the van elsewhere from now on.
