Mainly had sleepsuits from Tesco/Sainsbury's and they're okay but don't think they washed brilliantly.

Where have your best ones been from that have washed well and lasted?

For the mulipack type ones I've found next and boots have been very good. For one off special ones john lewis are lovely.

Oysterbabe · 05/03/2018 21:40

I think my babies have their mum's thighs. I find the boots ones in particular too tight around the thigh area.

MaryPoppinsStoleMyHandbag · 05/03/2018 21:41

Have tried Mothercare, Next, M&S, Jojo, Boots, Boden, Asda and my favourite out of the lot is TU at Sainsbury’s. They’re a good fit for my DD, don’t shrink and wash well.

EB123 · 05/03/2018 21:41

My M&S sleepsuits and vests lasted me three children. Also John Lewis are fab.

Lana1234 · 05/03/2018 21:41

Asda's have been great for my 6mo. Good quality for a good price.

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 05/03/2018 21:55

I thought white company were shit. Frugi lovely but pricey. JL/JoJo good. Next/Sainsbury’s good. Tesco/Asda not so good.

Make sure babygrows open on both legs, have poppers/zips, not buttons, and have fold over cuffs.

windchimesabotage · 05/03/2018 21:58

Next, mamas and papas, and John Lewis. Keep bright colours really well.

M&S can actually be pretty hit and miss. I had some from there that shrunk really badly in the wash and some boys trousers that warped completely on 30 degrees! and the label had said fine at 40.

Niceandwarmandhot · 05/03/2018 22:00

You can often get the Bonds ones much cheaper at T K Maxx

CapricornWithAUnicornHorn · 05/03/2018 22:01

Morrison's wash brilliantly and always look brand new. They don't end up looking thin and murky like other brands do. Really thick and look comfy.

DaisyDando · 05/03/2018 22:07

M&S. Also, Waitrose baby clothes are really lovely, and cheaper than John Lewis.

HolyShmoly · 05/03/2018 22:09

The Bonds ones are absolutely gorgeous too. It's such a shame that JL only do a limited range. My sister lives in Australia and she normally dressed her little girl in Bonds and Next. Lovely bright colours that seem to stay bright.
I'm buying only a small selection for now, once baby is here I'm planning on buying mostly from these two.

buzzmoon · 05/03/2018 22:09

Waitrose do baby clothes?!

OP posts:
EssentialHummus · 05/03/2018 22:20

Yes! And bloody Ocado deliver them! Was a revelation. They are very good.

Toddlerteaplease · 05/03/2018 22:22

Who Ever invented baby clothes that fasten at the back has obviously never dressed a baby.

WhatAPowerfulPerm · 05/03/2018 22:28

Toddler we were given a gorgeous babygrow as a gift for DS, it was a very fancy brand....so disappointed to find it was a button up back one, it was only worn twice!

blackteasplease · 05/03/2018 22:31

I only really remember Tesco and m and s, both of which were good.

BertieBotts · 05/03/2018 22:32

I do love babygrows but they look a bit weird once they get all leggy Grin

I used to like the Next ones and am idly eyeing them up for international delivery

Actually the old Primark stuff from about 2005 was amazing. Nothing like their adults/older children's clothes. No idea if they are still any good, I am not as impressed by their designs in the slightest any more.

DameLillyTillicut · 06/03/2018 00:07

I thought Sainsburys were a good size and have lots of vibrant designs. Washed and tumbled very well for me.
Asda were bad and Primark were terrible. Shrank horribly.
Next were nice and thick but designs not to my taste.
I found Tesco small for the age (I had a gigantobaby) but I suppose I could have bought the size up!
H&M had a lot of neutral basics with "bum shaping" in the vests which was really good for nappies.
Matalan had some nice designs and generous sizing although better for the summer as I found them thin.

ArcheryAnnie · 06/03/2018 01:10

NCT sales. Other parents have done an excellent job of weeding out all the shit ones which the poppers fall off on the second wash, and all you get is the nice soft good quality ones, super-cheap.

Swizzlegiggle · 06/03/2018 03:19

I find Boots and Bluezoo from Debenhams to wash and maintain their quality well.

TonicAndTonic · 06/03/2018 03:21

Next, M&S and mothercare

Obi1Kenobi · 06/03/2018 03:22

John Lewis and M&S hands down but Sainsburys have done me very well over time, abuse and hot washes. So I say Sainsbury’s. Cheap and cheerful yet 100% cotton and very easy to keep clean and their shape. I get 3 white ones for £3.50.

DressingGown · 06/03/2018 03:24

Boots, Mothercare, Jojo.

lizzlebizzle33 · 06/03/2018 03:51

I've never bought any as they're too expensive for my budget but the times I have had any baby clothes gifted from Next they have been fantastic, wash really well and super soft.

CAAKE · 06/03/2018 04:29

Another vote for bonds zippys. You can't beat the two way zips and gold over feet. You can get them at JL and I've just ordered some from this online outlet store - https://outletshopforkids.com.au/collections/vendors?q=Bonds&mccid=993f916ffc&mcc_eid=acf00bcf93
