Currently with bloody utilita and hate them.

Want to switch to a "normal" direct debit service (no financial issues with that it was previous tenant used utilita).

I was with sse before, they weren't great but nowhere near as bad as utilita. So I shall speak to them.

I'm not saying I'm made of money but good service is definitely a factor - the switching sites go PURELY on cost so what I'm planning to do is a sort of cross reference recommendations from you guys on service with the cost side of things.

I don't see the point of going with the cheapest supplier if their customer service is awful.

Mn seems to be really good for this type of thing so hoping you lot will help.

Never heard of BULB in my life. Confused

MrsPnut · 02/03/2018 21:02

We’ve been with Ovo for years and wouldn’t move now. We are currently on a two year fix but we have been on other fixes and when they are due to expire they contact us and let us know what their cheapest tariff we can move to is.
We have a smart meter and we get an accurate bill every month but before that we input a meter reading when they emailed us. We can apply for a refund online and also amend our payment levels according to their estimate of our usage.
I also like that you can email if you have a problem and someone contacts you back within a working day.

Ovo looking promising.

Belleandbeast I normally like which? For info but they seem to think utilita customer service really good! Hmm

Another vote for bulb here! Martin Lewis recommended it on this morning

My DD is delighted with the saving she made by switching to the Dragon's Den winners who apparently wowed all five of the Dragons with their switch company 'Look After My Bills'. She tells me that they will automatically switch to the best deal every year. We haven't switched yet as have been happy with Scottish Power and recently moved house so haven't got a record of our bills yet to compare. But we'll look into it soon.

Another vote for Bulb.

Was looking to switch from Npower who have been absolutely rubbish and came across Octopus energy - been nothing but brilliant so far. Really recommend.

If you switch use my link and you'll get £50 off your bills:

We use 'Affect Energy' and have been with them for 2 years now - They are great

Satsumaeater · 09/10/2018 13:40

I'm with Coop Energy too.

I've previously been with Good Energy and Ecotricity and both were good, but expensive. It was quite a shock to call them and go straight through to a person rather than having the IVR! Currently considering Bulb as they are quite a bit cheaper than the Coop.

Scotinoz · 09/10/2018 13:44

We're with Bulb. They're very polite and I've never had a wait for their call centre.

SpoonBlender · 09/10/2018 13:50

Bulb again, have been for two or three years now. They're lovely.

CoxwellHuge · 09/10/2018 14:03

I'm with Bulb and one of the things I really like about them is the fact that I can submit a meter reading monthly and my bill is based on actual useage every month. I can also go online and change my direct debit whenever I want, we started off with quite a high payment (same as we had been paying with another supplier) but after 3 months of accurate readings and bills, I have reduced the payment. There is no tie-in and the energy is green. Can't fault them so far.

Another ovo customer here via MSN.They still are running a 2 year fixed deal.
Good customer service and good mobile app. When you've been with them a while they let you tweak your direct debit if you are paying to much but you do get interest on any credit you build up.get a recommendation from someone for your £50off.
