We live in Zone 2. Most children live within a 500 m radius of the school. It's cold but we have no more than a dusting. All transport running and roads and pavements fine (and I have mobility issues). School closed early today because of snow because of others schools closing and so teachers needing to get their children. Not all the teachers are parents by any stretch ( would say about 25%) and even so surely they could just rejig classes a bit. At the first sight of snow (a 5 minute flurry) on Tuesday the paid for after school club (childcare) tried to cancel. Seriously?! What about parents who are working and suddenly need to drop everything at two hours notice to get children
