Yeah I have two very young kids and therefore have about 3000 photos on my phone. I wish I was exaggerating.

I occasionally send an order to Photobox to get a batch printed. I have some framed. The ones that aren’t framed are in a drawer. I have some on Facebook and Instagram.

There is no order to this chaos and I need a resolution for online photo storage as well as hard copy storage.

Can you explain to me your photo organisation strategies?? I need some inspiration. Any decent online photo storage sites or something??

Every time I have 200 photos stores on my phone I get them printed off and put in albums.

I have an almost 4 year old and a 6 month old and I have about 2000 photos in albums.

The ones I like (am fussy) get uploaded to Truprint & printed out, into albums (every kid has own album) about once every 18m.

I use Amazon Prime photos. It's an app on my phone which has unlimited cloud storage for free if you have Amazon Prime. Every photo I take (all 16,000 of them!) Are uploaded and stored by month.

It has freed up all my phone's storage and I think it's amazing!

@blueshoes

Yes family members can all share the same iCloud account. It's obviously not just for photos but docs too. Just checked ours - we have 27,521 photos up there at present. All photos from DS1, Dd, DH and I get backed up there automatically from our Apple devices - you can set to automatic back ups or manual.

Hope that helps!

@kaletogo ahhh brilliant! It's still got 25000 to go! It's been at it all day. It's made some great collages from YEARS ago though!

I store them in several digital forms (cloud, laptop, phone, ext. hard drive) in folders labelled with the year andd then subfolders with the month. I ruthlessly delete blurred ones, under/over exposed ones, out of focus ones and duplicates. I print the ones I do keep, just as 4x6" prints, and keep them in albums in date order. I annotate the prints with info about who is in them, where and when it was taken and, sometimes, who took them.
