9 YEAR OLD SAID " MAMA!"

Basically that!!

After 9 years of waiting I can finally say that my DS has said " Mama!" 😭😭😭😭

My DS has list of health issues and is developmentally 9-18 months old.

From day one I have been told that DS will never talk ( and other things ) however recently he has started to say the odd word here and there .. I have been over the moon and telling everyone who will listen ( including posting in this topic every time 🙈)

however today my DS said " mama!!!!" 😍😍😭😭😭😭

He kept walking around saying " Mama!" So I pointed to myself and repeated " Mama" ( to show him that I am Mama!) however he is now walking around the house pointing to himself going " Mama!" 🙈😍😍 even though I know he doesn't understand what the word means and that he is in fact calling himself Mama I am absolutely over the moon and I can feel my heart exploding with joy .. I never knew I could love someone this much and be so proud!

I CAN FINALLY HEAR MY DS SAY " MAMA!!" ... HE SAID " MAMA!" I HAVE WAITED 9 YEARS FOR THIS! 😍😍😍😍

I don't even mind he isn't aiming it at me .. just hearing his sweet little voice call my name is the absolute best feeling in the world!

My 9 year old boy said Mama!! 😍😍😍😍😭😭😭😭😭😭

Op that’s so bloody lovely, I’m so happy you got to hear him say that 💙

SparklyMagpie · 22/02/2018 19:24

This has absolutely melted my heart!!

I can't begin to imagine how you feel, I remember waiting for DS to finally say it and when he did I felt complete.

What an amazing boy you have OP and I can already see you are soaking in every second of it !

Bless you both, and this is just what I needed whilst having some time out to myself whilst DS stays overs at his dad's

Absolutely over the moon for you :D and I'll raise a glass to celebrate

I wish I read more beautiful posts like this !

Fabulous !

I have gone a whole day without crying (PMS) and now this has finished me off but I can’t think of a better reason to be sniffling!! Congratulations, I can’t imagine how you must feel!!

BLUESEAPARADISE · 22/02/2018 19:35

Thankyou so much everyone .. he truly is amazing!! 🙈

He has picked his " celebration" treats to take to his class tomorrow ( every time a child in his class does something that deserves a celebration they take something in to share with the class ) DS has picked a carrot, turnip , some porridge oats ( to make porridge!) and a pack of mini sponge cakes to share with his friends in his class ... which is ironic considering he hasn't been eating at all and a very random mixture!.😳🙈😂😂😂

Think I've got something in my eye....and something else in my other eye....

My 12 year old has severe ASD. He is verbal but speech was a long time coming, and he can't articulate himself. I can totally see why this is so special for you. Just lovely. Flowers Star
