9 YEAR OLD SAID " MAMA!"

Basically that!!

After 9 years of waiting I can finally say that my DS has said " Mama!" 😭😭😭😭

My DS has list of health issues and is developmentally 9-18 months old.

From day one I have been told that DS will never talk ( and other things ) however recently he has started to say the odd word here and there .. I have been over the moon and telling everyone who will listen ( including posting in this topic every time 🙈)

however today my DS said " mama!!!!" 😍😍😭😭😭😭

He kept walking around saying " Mama!" So I pointed to myself and repeated " Mama" ( to show him that I am Mama!) however he is now walking around the house pointing to himself going " Mama!" 🙈😍😍 even though I know he doesn't understand what the word means and that he is in fact calling himself Mama I am absolutely over the moon and I can feel my heart exploding with joy .. I never knew I could love someone this much and be so proud!

I CAN FINALLY HEAR MY DS SAY " MAMA!!" ... HE SAID " MAMA!" I HAVE WAITED 9 YEARS FOR THIS! 😍😍😍😍

I don't even mind he isn't aiming it at me .. just hearing his sweet little voice call my name is the absolute best feeling in the world!

My 9 year old boy said Mama!! 😍😍😍😍😭😭😭😭😭😭

Thank you so much for sharing your joy. I seem to be so full of anger and despair so often these days and it’s lovely to be reminded that there are good things to be happy about too. Flowers for you and your boy x

BLUESEAPARADISE · 24/02/2018 16:49

He hasn't said it today which is making me feel a bit 😩 but I am sure he will say it again soon!

Awwwww
Made me cry!

My eldest was delayed and didnt start talking until he was over 3. He had lots of health problems. I broke down 1 day and told my dad I just want him to say mama and when he did it was the best thing in the world.
Well done lil one 😍

Your post has really made my day after a particularly crappy week. I have a little one who has a form of epilepsy that means he is v v unlikely to ever vocalise. (But as we know sometimes they defy the odds ). He is such a blessing to have around !
I am so delighted for you. That is so special ! Every little step forward is so precious isnt it ? X

Lauramac1 · 27/02/2018 12:00

flapjackfairy So moving to hear you say " He is such a blessing to have around !" I did some work with learning disabled and am a retired psychologist. I so love families like yours. You really understand what is important in life. God Bless you. (hope it's ok to say that, it's just my way).
