Help - AIBU to think that the following signs indicate that asking him out is likely to not result in a humiliating rejection.

He’s single and is struggling to meet someone online.

He talkes about my personality positively and tells me never to change.

He tells me that I’m important to him and that I make him happier with his life.

He texts and calls most days.

He makes excuses to spend time with me and will hang around my friends until I arrive.

Smiles at me and we laugh lots.

He has told me that I’m stunning/ look great etc.

My friends say they’ve caught him checking me out Blush

BUT - he has never ever asked me out!! I want to ask him, but if he liked me, wouldn’t he ask me.

Ahh that's disappointing. It sounded so promising. I'm not impressed by him at al, but I believe him when he says you're stunning and have a great personality. Just don't waste it on this guy I guess. You seem pretty accepting that this isn't your guy and confident in yourself. so no need to spend another second on this guy.

Seems silly to chuck away what sounded like a good friendship just because he doesn’t fancy you.

SciFiLover · 01/03/2018 09:49

How old are you?

Gosh, just read the whole thing. Such strange behaviour.

I would leave it now, back off but no need to fall out or ignore him completely. Move him from back burner to pickled storage shelf (possible dust down once it has matured but could just as easy drop off at local fête during next clear out). You have nothing to feel embarrassed about, I think this blowing hot and cold is not worth it. Concentrate on other people and other things, if he does start up with all the compliments/text conversations again ask him about this brush off and what happened.

There's hundreds of them on online dating sites. You make a connection, he keeps it going as long as he can, but disappears when it comes to meeting up.

They aren't insecure etc, they are just game players and like messing with Women's heads. Its an ego boost that a Woman would let him fuck her, it he chose to.

And this is why he's had no luck online, or in RL.

He's the one who should feel embarrassed. He's acting like a total plonker.

Those saying he's 'not into you', that shouldn't mean he's suddenly Mr Rude.

Forget the jerk.

Has he been in touch with you since he dropped his phone? X
