Tiny things that make YBVVVVVU

Guest came over at the weekend. Tipped out the last of the cup of tea she’d made for herself into the sink as we were saying our goodbyes, aong with the teabag. Left the teabag sat there in the plug hole.

Right. There. In the plug hole.

I know, I know, who cares, just fish it out and throw it away when she’s gone, but I momentarily had visions of stuffing said teabag up one of her nostrils in revenge.

Help reassure me that I am not alone in my insanity. What tiny, ridiculous, non-things give you the murdrous rage?

OP posts:
JustDanceAddict · 25/02/2018 09:35

OOoh i havr so much rage.

  1. Noisy eaters - ds is the worst now, has superseded dh! When he has weetabix before bed sometimes I really want to commit some heinous act on him!! I tell
Him to try and eat quieter but then he just makes some teen grunting noise. I’ll have to Leave the room next time to save my sanity.
  1. Dishes on top of the dishwasher. If it’s full empty it, if it isn’t, use it.
  2. Stuff everywhere - DH’s stuff. Honestly, he just leaves his shoes in middle of the entrance hall or even in the doorway of the front room so I trip over them.
MollyHuaCha · 25/02/2018 09:35

People who add 'literally' to their sentences.

"It literally made me die"

Hmm
WilburIsSomePig · 25/02/2018 09:38

black toilet seats and pube dandruff!

What? Pube dandruff?

Toothpaste on the bathroom floor beside the sink. Kept telling the kids off for it before discovering it was DH. Pretty sure a 48 year old man should be able to brush his fucking teeth without making a mess.

Peelings in the sink. I literally want to rip his head off when he does this.

Noisy eating.

Clothes being put in the washing basket inside out.

The pile of empty toilet rolls/shampoo bottles etc that seem to remain in the bathroom until the only person in my house (i.e. me) puts them in the recycling.

I, on the other hand, am absolutely perfect. Smile

Lizzie48 · 25/02/2018 10:03

I'm enjoying this thread, lovely chance to moan!!

Another thing that really annoys me about my DH, he never makes sure the DDs have got dressed or cleaned their teeth when I go shopping for supplies on his day off when he's looking after them. I come back home at lunchtime and they're still in their nightclothes and haven't cleaned their teeth. Why is it always down to me???

And when he constantly consults me about whether it's time for lunch or tea. Why do I have to decide everything about their care? I may as well do it all myself!!

logicalmum · 25/02/2018 10:11

The wrong use of the word "to" especially on social media. For example "Me to" instead of "Me too". How bloody hard can it be. I'm amazed at how many get it wrong TOO.

JustDanceAddict · 25/02/2018 10:34

People who drive at 20mph on a 30mph main road. Get a fucking move on!!

purpleleotard · 25/02/2018 10:38

In my city residential streets are 20mph limit so I automatically drive at 20 when surrounded by houses in another town.
Sorry if this upsets some.

SnowSnowAndMoreSnow · 25/02/2018 11:00

When DP puts the washing on the radiators to dry without shaking it out.

It looks like he has just hurled it. It never dries properly & I have to re arrange it all

Oysterbabe · 25/02/2018 11:35

The thing my husband is doing right now that makes me want to punch him, brushing his teeth. He waits until both kids are in the buggy and crying to get going and we're walking to the door to go and do it.

Lizzie48 · 25/02/2018 12:06

Sorry, one more thing that really drives me up the wall. My DDs arguing over everything. And funny how they always blow up whilst I'm having a bath or on the toilet lol. Shock

Lizzie48 · 25/02/2018 12:10

And of course then comes the cry of 'Muuuummmmyyyy, she won't share it with me!!!' Grin

tiddlyipom · 25/02/2018 12:47

Wet towels folded up and left on the end of the bed, how hard is it to shake them out and hang up on the towel rail?
DH's curry(I don't eat it) He makes enough for two meals but leaves it on the stove top overnight every single time.Plus, the hob is left covered in splashes of curry.
Carving knives put in the cutlery basket in the dishwasher with the tips sticking up.Lay them flat in the top rack!
People who talk/slurp drinks/rustle bags/check phones/kick the back of your seat in the cinema or theatre.
Coughing, loudly, with no covering of the mouth.
Loud eating.
People who will not make a choice or decision, the phrases "I don't mind" "you pick" or "whatever you think" " , then when you decide on something question you on your decision. Fuck Off!

TSSDNCOP · 25/02/2018 13:15

People that cut in on slip roads or merge lanes. When I am Queen of the Workd there will be sniper towers to take these pricks out.

Drivers that through some misguided sense of road ownership, stop in free flowing traffic to let other drivers turn right.

ShotsFired · 25/02/2018 13:25

@EggysMom Hair in the basins of the ladies toilets at work. The design is that the only mirror is behind the basins, so people brush their hair over the basins. But they don't check for any 'fall-out' which means the next person to wash their hands, is faced with individual hairs scattered in and on the basin. Horrible. As toilet matters go, it's probably one of the more hygienic annoyances, but still drives me mad!

I used to work with someone who brushed their hair at their desk. Used to make me feel queasy, for no logical reason. She sat right in my line of sight so I couldn't avoid it either.

Bexter801 · 25/02/2018 13:38

Watching videos on their phone in the Same room as you, each and every time makes me want to grab the phone and Chuck it out the window.....and horsing down food, like it's their last meal(my son does these things EVERY day, despite my death stares and threats).

JustDanceAddict · 25/02/2018 14:23

purple.. am talking about main roads with shops, not side streets. It’s so annoying as you’re stuck behind someone when there’s no need for it.

Celticrose · 25/02/2018 15:33

People who invade your personal space. Once when paying for something at M&S a woman practically stood right beside me on the right and not a couple of steps behind me. The girl at the till probably thought she was with me.Hmm It was very akward when putting my PIN no into card machine. If it happened again I would definitely give them a good hard stare

mummyrabbitpeppapig · 25/02/2018 16:26

People who don't indicate. People who do and then don't turn it off.
People driving up your backside when you're doing the speed limit on the motorway and there's no room to move over to let them past. ( No I don't want to speed and get a speeding ticket thanks).
People not saying 'thank you' wave or hazards when you let them out.
Drivers 'pushing in' when you let another car out/in.
Pedestrians on their phone just crossing the road without looking.
Pushbikes at night with no lights.
Taxi drivers who double park to talk to each other and block the road.
People who park on the zig zags at school pick up / drop off time.

Lifeisabeach09 · 25/02/2018 16:34

Whistling.
Completely irrational but drives me insane.

Princess9891 · 25/02/2018 16:36

Lifeisabeach me too! Dp only has to whistle one note and I go all Sheldon

Sarahh2014 · 25/02/2018 16:37

Trying to get the white seal off a plastic bottle of milk,it never comes off in one go sometimes just the pull but comes off then you need to get a knife! grrrrr getting stressed jyst thinking about it

Lizzie48 · 25/02/2018 16:40

@mummyrabbitpeppapig I absolutely agree with you, some road users are very inconsiderate. I particularly hate tailgaters, especially when I'm driving at the speed limit. Do they really not care about getting points on their license for speeding??

PeapodBurgundy · 25/02/2018 20:07

venellopevonschweetz I'm guilty of that one Blush Is it any defence that I'm trying to teach a toddler who's big enough to understand the Green Man, but not the looking left and right bit? hopes it is

OH pronounces advertisements as adver-TIES-ments, rather then adver-TIZ-ments (putting the emphasis on the wrong bit of the word, and elongating it when it doesn't need to be!) Angry

UpstartCrow · 25/02/2018 20:09

People who leave things in random places in the supermarket.

monkeymamma · 25/02/2018 20:26

YES, YES, YES to the PP who mentioned those ribbony things sewn into clothes which are for putting them on the hanger which I never both doing anyway and end up dribbling annoyingly over your armpit or cleavage or coming out of your top altogether and waving about, just WHY???!!
