Dondie · 19/02/2018 21:12

Groundhog Day - often dismissed as a comedy farce but actually a great film about the human condition. Tomorrow will always come, even if it’s the same as today but all we can do is be the best person we can be.

VladmirsPoutine · 19/02/2018 21:12

A few good men.

nancy75 · 19/02/2018 21:13

Groundhog Day is my number 2, the fantastic Bill Murray!

elderwand90 · 19/02/2018 21:15

Fluffy40 · 19/02/2018 21:17

onlyconnect · 19/02/2018 21:18

Also: Thelma and Louise, Dr Zhivago, The Great Escape, Billy Liar, Inglorious Bastards, 12 Years a Slave.

InternetHoopJumper · 19/02/2018 21:18

Iron Jawed Agels

It's an obscure movie about the suffrage movement in the USA, with Hillary Swank as Alice Paul and Frances O'Connor as Lucy Burns.

DullAndOld · 19/02/2018 21:18

The Blues Brothers
Hot Fuzz
Shaun of the Dead

InternetHoopJumper · 19/02/2018 21:19

Doh. Agels = Angels

littlepeas · 19/02/2018 21:20

Sense and Sensibility (Emma Thompson one),

And, umm...

Bring it On Blush

MissingDietCoke · 19/02/2018 21:24

Jurassic Park!

littlepeas · 19/02/2018 21:25

There is a brilliant film called Carnage with Kate Winslet and Jodie Foster in it - one of the best things I've seen, but doesn't immediately spring to mind when talking about favourites! Just remembered it after I'd already posted!

mummyrabbitpeppapig · 20/02/2018 08:43

Bridget Jones
Love Actually
Enchanted
Ferris Buellers day off
Top Gun
Sleeping with the Enemy
Shawshank redemption

Agerbilatemycardigan · 20/02/2018 08:57

A lot of my favourites have already been mentioned except Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence. Tom Conti at his best. Plus it has David Bowie in it for good measure. The soundtrack by Ryuichi Sakamoto's superb.
