So I've just realised that I am out of pop socks for work, not a major disaster but something I would normally think 'oh I'll pop down to Asda and grab a new box' only its now nearly 6pm on a Sunday and all the shows are now shut.
I get that Sunday's are precious and all that jazz but in this modern day of 24 hour supermarkets and shift working etc etc is it not time we thought about the fact that come 4pm on a Sunday if you haven't bought what you need, you need to wait until tomorrow. Yes I could probably be more organised etc
Am i in a minority and therefore being unreasonable??

If any of you shop for kids you must really hate Entertainer, they are closed Sundays full stop.

There will always be local shops open to get essentials and literally 24 hours a day on ask the other days.

Get more organised

What's the point in having a Tuesday off each week if your DP and children are at home Saturday and Sunday?

Personally I love time off on my own, nice and quiet at the beginning of the week, no tedious drama about finding something to do 'as a family' with a mardy teenager Grin.

There are loads of things I like to do on my own and equally my DH and DS don't need me with them at weekends. Appreciate not everyone will agree with me though.

And they would have been but for Scots MPs voting against the bill to abolish them!

If anyone wants a day of rest on Sunday, they are under absolutely no obligation to go to the supermarket at 7pm. Stop enforcing it on the rest of us, many of whom work at weekends and appreciate being able to get to the supermarket after our shifts.
But surely even if you work at weekends you can go in the evenings during the week after your shifts? Or in the day(s) off during the week that you presumably get off? Or you could arrange for an online shop to be delivered at any hour convenient to you? You're not forced to shop at 7pm on a Sunday either.

I think most shops should close on sundays, give the poor staff a day off with their friends and families. Working in retail is pretty annoying as it is.
