Yep. Total rip off from the other thread but I need some suggestions.

Mine are Captain Correllis Mandoline (I was gutted at how awful the film was) and On Green Dolphin Street (oh the end!).

I’ve just finished one of the best books I’ve ever read. It’s called “Standard Deviation” it’s basically about marriage and relationships in general. It’s funny, touching, and fascinating. I was truly sorry to finish it, I feel bereft!

The Chronicles of Narnia. My son was given a beautiful hardback illustrated version and I've read it cover to cover so many times. I'm not religious in the slightest and only picked up on the religious element in the last story.

I loved The God Of Small Things, which I read the year it won the Booker Prize. I can't remember it all that well now but know it left me feeling winded in that way amazing books do.

drinkswineoutofamug I love Elly Griffiths too.
My 2 favourite books are both by DH Lawrence. Odour of Crysanthemums which is a short story and The First Lady Chatterley.

SlightlyJaded, I've read A God in Ruins and liked it quite a bit though I really disliked the ending. I'm a huge fan of Kate Atkinson. Already looking forward to her new book that's due out later this year. Smile

Excited now about the new Kate Atkinson!
A God In Ruins devastated me at the end. Couldn't believe it.
Enjoyed the audiobook of Ready Player One with the kids.
I like the Wideacre books byPhillipa Gregory, they're fun.
Sarah Waters - all her books really.
Grapes of Wrath - epic and brilliant.
The Girl with all the Gifts was good.
