Stew

LondonHereICome · 13/02/2018 17:35

I can't believe some of these!!

Seriously, rolled up plain straight from the pan! Job done

Aph413 · 13/02/2018 17:39

Already had mine but I've always squeezed an orange over mine with a bit of sugar. Never known why but that's what my mum gave me as a kid instead of lemon and it's lovely.

MichaelBendfaster · 13/02/2018 17:40

Combos of any of the below:

spinach
strong cheddar
ham
sweetcorn

And then a classic lemon and sugar one, followed by chocolate spread and maybe banana.

We keep it quite simple.

earlybirdhasanap · 13/02/2018 17:42

We did bacon, Brie and mushroom. It was disappointing and I'll be making them again with sugar and lemon when the baby is in bed.

Bubblesblue · 13/02/2018 17:44

Melted white chocolate and strawberries. Can't wait!

ShowOfHands · 13/02/2018 17:53

The DC and DH had courgette, aubergine, lentils, carrots, celery, peppers, cucumber, ginger, garlic and onion with their pancakes. I had the veg minus the pancakes. Then more for pudding but with Greek yoghurt and berries. DH also had honey on his sweet ones.

teaandtoast · 13/02/2018 18:05

Sugar, orange, lemon and lime. Delicious!

Pancakes, what pancakes ?!

We're not having any.

PastramiAndRye · 13/02/2018 18:10

American style with blueberries, white chocolate chips and maple syrup. I'm pregnant and the unborn member of the family is kicking up quite a storm after all the sugar!

safariboot · 13/02/2018 18:39

We kept it simple and traditional with sugar and lemon. That's what we always do, apart from one or two years when we had maple syrup.

We use a crepe mix, more egg than a usual pancake mix, though I'm never able to cook them as thin as 'real' crepes should be. Still taste great though. But first I had to wash up the crepe pan ... from last year Blush.

I mooted the idea of doing savoury pancakes but it was shot down, and anyway we didn't have the ingredients in.

BeHappyMummy · 13/02/2018 18:41

I've had cheese, nutella and even made a mango yogurt wrap with one.

I've also had a few plain crepes too. Just as nice.

NickMyLipple · 13/02/2018 18:57

I made one, it got stuck to my shit pan and I have given up and gone to bed.

BackBoiler · 13/02/2018 19:02

I did mini pancakes with each letter of their names using a washed out ketchup bottle for precision (hmmmm) then they covered them with nutella, sprinkles, marshmallows and squirty cream. That was their dinner and they will have eggs and toast before bed. Glad they only have 4/5 letters in their names

Bunchofdaffodils · 13/02/2018 19:09

40 years old and never tried a savoury one, though some of yours are tempting. Just finished peanut butter and marshmallows and a lemon and sugar.

bigbluebus · 13/02/2018 19:09

Bacon, mushrooms and cheese pancakes followed by lemon and sugar ones for pudding.

livingthegoodlife · 13/02/2018 19:13

My three year old are loads of neat lemon pieces!!! Crazy child.

Angrybird345 · 13/02/2018 19:15

RavenLG · 13/02/2018 19:22

I had homemade pork stew in a bid to be healthy. Didn't work because I had a slice of thick white bread and butter and crisps too. Now I want pancakes. Doomed to be a fat shit forever.

ParkheadParadise · 13/02/2018 19:23

I'm having ice-cream strawberries and cream on mine.
Dd had raspberry jam on her's earlier.

StripySocksAndDocs · 13/02/2018 19:30

Golden syrup.

Can't get on with the idea of savoury with the type pancakes generally made here. (Flour (usually white), milk egg).

Are they made with different ingredients? - I had savoury crepes years ago. They were different.
