To declare dried fruit as one of the most disgusting things in existence?

Notable exceptions being dried bananas and dried apples, as they taste like sweets. And dried tomatoes because they are only honorary fruit.

Top offenders being dried apricots and the mysterious brown lump that made it into my granola this morning that was overly sweet and had the texture of gritty playdoh.

Who decided that leaving something out for so long that it shrivelled up into a twisted carcass of itself was somehow an improvement? And why the fuck do they keep hiding them in perfectly good breakfast cereals??

I like it.
Love prunes, apricots, cranberries and raisons, sultanas. I don't eat much of it though but sometimes grab a couple of juicy prunes before a zumba class or have a few dried cranberries with a few almonds.

Dislike dried banana chips.

I ate a ton of dried apple crisps one day at work.

Then did a poo that looked like a monster made of apples that literally would not flush. No matter how hard I fought it.

An email got sent round the office. Blush

OLivia All fruit is dead once picked. Dried fruit is not mouldy.

Freudian is that how they make those fruit string things?

DustyMaiden · 16/02/2018 09:47

I love sultanas in a curry, but they are not really dry then.

I make sticky toffee pudding without dates. No one would eat it here if it had dried fruit in it.

FairfaxAikman · 16/02/2018 10:18

@UnimaginativeUsername it's fine if the dates are blitzed in a blender then added but not as huge chunks

UnimaginativeUsername · 16/02/2018 10:19

It’s also lovely without them!
