I don't live an America, and I have no experience of racism in America, I somewhat understand the desire to have a "safe space" or a space to hold conversation around the issues, however the lady running it "eliminated all white people from her personal life" doesn't think white people should own passports etc

That's a lot of negativity for a "healing" retreat

The empowerment part... yeah, but the self segregation? Travelling backwards rather than forwards somewhat surely?!

Most Americans wouldn't really class Latino as white though would they?

Some bint called something like Monica de la Cruz de compostella Dominguez was banging on Twitter a while ago about how 'white Europeans' in the US shouldn't be appropriating their culture as it was 'imperialism'. I pointed out she had a Spanish name and that the Spanish started the whole imperialism business, killed most of the Inca and Maya and were very much European.

I refuse to buy into the idea that an entire race can be deemed 'the same', and automatically have privilege, therefore can be discriminated against by virtue of their skin colour alone. That concept is racist in itself.

By nature of law, rape is an act committed with a penis, so all rape is committed by anatomical males.

Latino is not the same as "white" in America.

Nah, she had a picture up. She was Spanish. Probably fairly recent too with a name like that. It followed European Spanish naming convention not South American
