What’s the one thing that your colleagues do that drive you up the wall - emails without subject lines does it for me.

OP posts:

People who insist on going for a dump during working hours. Leaving skiddies and stinking out the place, usually just before lunch.

HippyHippieWannabe · 21/02/2018 18:25

Being the only person to actually remember important rules and policies; then being complained at by the customer because everybody else let's them get away with it. Nope. Not happening buddy. Off you fuck.

strawberries I feel your pain.

People who don't ask if they don't know how to do something in case they might be expected to learn something. Bunch of jobsworths.

Jaygee61 · 22/02/2018 09:39

People who decide to hold an impromptu meeting just by my desk.

The guy who eats a pear by sucking all of the juice out of it Angry

The dimwits that think it’s “cute” not to know anything.

Reply All drives me mad, but what’s even worse is the Performative Reply All.

You know the one. Someone replies to everyone saying ‘sorry I can’t do such-and-such because I’ve been invited to Big Impressive-Sounding Thing’ that day. And then a flurry of other people insist on replying all to say ‘oh me too, I was invited to that too’. And then someone else will up the ante by saying ‘I can’t go to Big Impressive Thing but I’m going to Even More Impressive Fancy Thing tomorrow’.

WHO CARES??

AlwaysaLittleBitTired · 22/02/2018 14:17

Other people - my team, the clients - and the endless cynicism which I am also guilty of.

heron98 · 22/02/2018 14:35

I hate people who are part time because I have asked to be and am not allowed and I feel very resentful of everyone who is. Unreasonable maybe, but it's my biggest peeve.

Paie · 22/02/2018 14:38

Spending hours getting prices and quotes for a customer, then at the last moment before pinging the answering email back, boss will appear and say "oo just send that to me first I want to write something"

The "something" will be basic drivel that anyone with basic english could write, the work I've done but won't be credited for isn't

Doje · 22/02/2018 14:51

People who steal my meeting room when I've booked it. It's so RUDE and basically saying 'I'm more important than you'.

Spelling my name wrong when replying to my email. It's written right there! AND it's in my email address. Just take the time to freakin' check!

Aircon wars. I'm sat in short sleeves sweating. Then someone turns it down to arctic temperatures. Then someone aggressively shouts "It's winter, who put the Aircon on?!" Then whacks it back up to 25. JUST PICK A TEMPERATURE AND STICK TO IT!!".

Milk. I work 2 days a week and bring in milk for teas and coffees for the whole office for those days. I take in two pints and I don't even have milk in my coffee. The people that work there full time can't sort it out between them. If I'm not in, there's no milk. Actually, I've given up on this one. I no longer take in milk and just stick to black coffee

Aaaaaand breathe.....

Sladurche · 23/02/2018 02:57

Colleagues obsessed with presenteeism - if you don't sit 8.30 - 6 at your desk, or WFH it drives them nuts. If you have a "flexible working" policy- that's what it means. As long as you do your hours and do your job well, who the hell cares? Bloody nosey clock-watchers.

DalekDalekDalek · 23/02/2018 04:32

"Touch base." You should automatically being executed for using this phrase.

Humming. It just makes me homicidal when someone hums under their breath. It's bizarre but it actually makes me feel a bit sick!
