Am gonna have to tomoz and stock up on the meatballs and cinnamon rolls - bang goes low carbing - havent tried the hot dogs - dont they just taste like the cheap tinned ones?

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 09/02/2018 20:21

The cheap plastic bendy chopping boards

Justmuddlingalong · 09/02/2018 20:23

GRILLA griddle pan.

Liskee · 09/02/2018 20:25

Napkins. Always, ALWAYS napkins.
And skubb boxes. And a laundry basket...ah that might be just my list!

mineofuselessinformation · 09/02/2018 20:31

The white globe table lamps (I don't think they do the colour-changing version any more - shame.)
Pear cider!
Buy cocktail napkins as well as full-size ones.
Little bowls for noodle-type meals.
The obligatory (for me) set of scissors.

The Kallax shelf. I have a total of 5 in my home! You can leave them open for ornaments, put books on them, add doors to make them into cupboards or buy the drawer inserts. They're amazing!

Zip lock bags
meatballs

Phillipa12 · 09/02/2018 20:33

They have some lovely soft bobble bath mats, and yes to meatballs and diam bar cake!

user1486076969 · 09/02/2018 20:36

Of course, should have added napkins.......and so many other things.
If you have a laptop buy a Laptop Stand for £3.95, brilliant, I have one at work and one for home.

bakingdemon · 09/02/2018 20:36

If you're buying furniture, scope it out online first and you can find the exact shelf location on the website. Then you can just go straight to the warehouse and not have to wander up and down the aisles for hours trying to track things down.

Also: the blue kitchen sink brushes with a sucker on the end. And I have over door hooks for the back of all our doors (check the width of your doors first to see they aren't fire doors).

When its founder died DW and I both had the same thought about an IKEA flat pack coffin.

Do we deserve each other?

fireflame · 09/02/2018 21:01

I just love Ikea every room in my home has an item in it from this shop
I bought a standing clock with shelves underneath (filled it with crystal candle holders) it's absolutely gorgeous
Everyone that comes into my home says how beautiful it is 🙊
I also changed all my kitchen cupboard doors (black) looks like I have had a new kitchen looks amazing and soooooo cheap!

Toddlerteaplease · 09/02/2018 22:41

Did anyone seee the programme about Ikea on BBC2 the other day. Where they all went on pilgrimage to the birth place if Ikea. It was like a trip to Lourdes. I quite fancy going to the Ikea hotel though.
OP, you need meatballs.

PurpleRobe · 10/02/2018 12:32

Tea lights
Hotdogs
Meatballs

Do not buy furniture it falls apart within a couple of months

Averyyounggrandmaofsix · 10/02/2018 12:40

We have plenty of IKEA that has lasted years, all we have changed is the handles.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 10/02/2018 12:49

I had an IKEA sideboard bought in 1990 that we only got rid of last year (it got a bit past it but hey ! 27 years Grin )

The cinnamon buns are rank, like stale bread with dust (get the Jus-Roll ones )

I need / want some new bowls but I'm not going just for that .

Bedding is good but a bit lairy.

Towels good

Plants are good, DD got a huuge cactus much cheaper than anywhere else.

And you can snigger at the names of things.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 10/02/2018 12:50

Oh , and we have Erkop sofa (the chair did fall apart after many years) new covers are ££ , but last well

DS has a sofa bed which is comfy and well made, if a tad ugly .

GodIsDead · 10/02/2018 14:44

The candles! They all smell amazing.

tillytrotter1 · 10/02/2018 14:50
