AIBU to want an aluminium free deodorant that actually works?

I’ve tried biosen roll on and stick, I’ve tried soft and gentle spray, Be Kind and Mum.
Has anyone found one that works? Please tell me.

Sanex Zero% is the only one I use that actually works for me.

Sanex has 'Alum stone' in it ...aluminium by another name??

I've got something rose-scented with alcohol in it at the moment. Can't remember what it's called, though

YANBU. I have the same problem and can only use roll on. The Sure Maximum Protection deodorants are great, but they leave my skin weeping a day after I use them.

Pitrok or other ‘crystal’ deodorants work well

More expensive, but Green People, Neal's Yard Remedies and Urtecram all do eco-deodorants that work. They're not as effective as an anti-perspirant, but you don't smell, which is the main thing.

I've got a Dr Organics one from Holland & Barrett at the moment which came in a beauty box, it seems to be ok but I have only been using it for a few days.

Urtekram or Moogoo work for me.

I've been using Lush's Aromaco for over 15 years and I love it. Even held up during a 3 week trip to a very hot and humid Oz last year.

Pitrock (from Boots) works! It is a crystal which you put on damp skin.

I use Tropic deodorant - £10 per tube plus postage but lasts for ages so probably not any more expensive than a typical deodorant in the long run.

The Natural Deodorant Company do lovely ecofriendly, non-aluminium ones. I've had a few samples and while they're not cheap they def work and smell gorgeous.

Seconding the Natural Deodorant Company. A jar lasts ages and although I sometimes get a little damp, I don't smell. I've used it in 40 degree heat in Italy!

Tropic has aluminium in it last time I looked and its a MLM. Sofa and Gentle do a A free one. I like Salt of the Earth spray.

Pitrok as far as I can tell is ammonium alum i.e.ammonium aluminium sulphate.

If it has alum on the ingredients then it has some form of aluminium sulphate in it. Pitrok, for example only claim to be "Aluminium Chlorohydrate or Aluminium Zirconium" free. They don't claim to be aluminium free.

It really works and I love the smell.

It even works on DP and he's got a really sweaty physical job.

I love the pitrok sensitive bottled one, it really does work. Though I do think switching to soap in the shower instead of shower gel has helped too. There was a big thread on soap vs shower gel ages ago, but I've only recently done it and now I'm a convert.

Genuine question. Is there any actual evidence that the Al is harmful?

Real evidence, as in peer reviewed and replicated, not mercola links or random ‘health woo’ websites?

I know there’s evidence aluminium can be harmful in vitro but is there evidence that antiperspirant usage Per se is causally linked to breast cancer?
