AIBU to want an aluminium free deodorant that actually works?

I’ve tried biosen roll on and stick, I’ve tried soft and gentle spray, Be Kind and Mum.
Has anyone found one that works? Please tell me.

No, I don't think so Backenette but I have sensitive skin and am forever looking for products that don't make me itchy. Most 'natural' ones seem to do the trick.

'Salt of the earth' I think is the one we use. There's a roll on and a spray. In Holland and barretts.

Dh gets a rash from the aluminium ones and has used Bionsen for years

As noted upthread, watch for babble on packaging. The fluffy bunny people are not in business for your health.

I make my own with coconut oil, baking soda, arrowroot powder and any essential oils I fancy. It works really well and is cheap as lasts absolutely ages!

It doesn't have the power of the anti perspirants but it does enough.

Another Pitroc fan here.I like the plain one DD likes the scented ones.They really work,got DD hers when she went through the very stinky puberty bit as it lasts all day.

My DH uses Trust which is aluminium free and it works really well. It seems expensive at £8 for a wee pot but it lasts ages.

Unfortunately aluminium is the antiperspirant so you cannot get an antiperspirant without it. However using it makes my armpits swollen and painful, which goes for the alum ones as well. So the debate about whether it causes cancer is not relevant to me, i still need the aluminium free ones.

Salt of the earth and pit rock are still alum.

I currently use a bar of olive soap twice a day and a weleda deodorant that i got from holland and barrett, this is the most effective combination i have found since i realised it was the antiperspirants causing the pain 5 years ago.

Different ones seem to work for different people. I persevered with neals yard for ages and it was expensive and didn't work, where bionsen is great for me. (neals yard organic defence hand spray was more effective for me!)

So trial and error is needed im afraid.

Backenette, for me it's not so much the possible breast cancer link but the thought of Alzheimer's. I've really only just stopped using aluminium-containing deodorants but I wish I'd stopped years ago. I just can't see how applying aluminium to your skin every day for decades can be just as healthy to the brain as not. So I won't, again.

Bionsen is brilliant and you can get it in most supermarkets. You can get a spray, roll on or aerosol. I find the aerosol one is the most effective, don’t get whiffy even on hot summer days.

I struggle to find deodorants rather than antiperspirants - I think its healthy for your body to sweat and I work in a hot environment so its even more necessary to help me cool down, I just don't want to smell.

Been having a reaction to something recently, making my armpits itchy and sore so I've tried Mum (pure one), biosen and a few others that are aluminium free but a lot of them don't seem to work to stop me smelling and I still have the reactions
