'Best Day Of Your Life'

AIBU to say I find it a bit depressing when people claim their wedding day, or the day their baby was born is the best day of their life? Isn't that just saying actually being married or having a child is just an anticlimax? I haven't done either so I can't really judge, but in your experience is it true?

The day my son was born was the worst day of my life. Went into labour at midnight. 24 hours later he was born, back-to-back. It was a day of agony and fear. Every day since has been the best day. He's 4 now, with 2 little siblings.

My mum always used to say "I hope I'm not raising you to think that your wedding day is the best day of your life!" She would be Hmmthat hitching yourself to a man was the pinnacle of life. But it was a good day!!!

Giving birth to DD2 was undoubtedly the best day and best moment of my life. Easy, quick, desperately wanted home birth after a very medicalised experience the first time round. Now I had 2 perfect daughters and I was high as a kite on oxytocin and endorphins. Can't imagine anything ever beating it, really!

Getting married and having DDs were lovely days but there have been fantastic days since then too.

My wedding day was nice but not best day of my life worthy. The days my daughters were born however were epic. Definitely the best days of my life.
