to be irritated by DD!!!

My DD has just said she wants to see her DF so she can get her christmas present of a makeup palette worth £50.

He won't have got it, he won't come and see her and he pays fuck all for her!!

I literally feel like saying i'll give you £50 for makeup and you can go and live with him and see how far you get.

Ungrateful and hurtful little so and so.

I know I A!BU! But feel so worn down and fed up!!

it is defintely NOT her fault it do know that - i was just venting my frustration with her dickhead deadbeat!

and it is frustrating when kids don't see it and you can't say anything!!

I just want to say - your fucking twatting father doesn't want to pay for your school dinners (or anything else)do you seriously think he will buy you a £50 eyeshadow palette and come and see you? But you can't and i won't so moaning here instead.

I know she seems selfish and ungrateful for everything and wants this man is shining armour. But please please keep your bitterness to yourself it's so fucking damaging for you to be mad at her as well as him not giving a shit. Be supportive and if she wants to see him let her, be there to pick up the pieces. Last thing you need is to put him on a pedi stool for her. Let her realise what he is

Also I don’t know what age she is, but even relatively nice teenagers do have a tendency to focus on their own needs / wants and not be fully appreciative of the impact this may have on others. I think this is relatively mild compared to things my kids friends have done through sheer thoughtlessness.

Your daughter is still young and poor judgement comes with that I'm afraid. Just don't take it personally. When she's older she'll truly appreciate all you've done for her.

God, vent away! Totally normal, it can grind down a saint. Dealing with a useless, absent, selfish parent and their impact on your dc.

As for the pp who said their disgusting ex promised ds a phone and gave him aftershave in a box instead...words fail me. How horrible!

But she isn’t wanting to see him as such, she just wants a £50 makeup palette that she believes he has got her. My DD would happily sift through a pile of nappies if she thought she would find a palette at the bottom of them.

I don't generally say anything outright bad about him but he left us homeless and penniless so the DC do know what he did and how it impacted our lives.

My MIL keeps on buying my DD stuff from the local market and they have found all sorts of chemicals in that shit!
