Seriously do some people have no sense of embarrassment? I would never post on a public group that I have some leftover incontinence pads following the birth of my child. I'd give them to a foodbank, my local hospital, my health visitor, care home anything but the p cal FB group, I'll keep you posted as to whether anyone is "interested".

OP posts:
LemonSqueezy0 · 27/01/2018 19:31

If someone is interested let me know so I can send some more, and help them out..

Horrible thing to come on here to try and shame the person generous enough to give them away, and possibly embarrass someone in need. Hmm

Aridane · 27/01/2018 19:32

I think that’s a lovely thing to do

OneForTheRoadThen · 27/01/2018 19:35

It makes me sad that people in need of these may struggle to afford them.

You might not agree with it OP but saying you'll 'keep us posted if anyone is interested ' comes across as mean.

Are you 12 ? I don't see the issue at all ! Someone may really need these and not have the funds to buy pads . It's a Nice thing to do

Redglitter · 27/01/2018 19:40

Charming thread OP.

There's no shame in someone needing to use Tena pads. If be more embarrassed about having an attitude like yours

BuzzKillington · 27/01/2018 19:40

It's nice to give them away to someone needy. I wouldn't do it via FB though, but then FB is not really my thing.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 27/01/2018 19:43

It's people like you OP who make people like me, who has bladder incontinence through disability, feel ashamed.

How dare you.

italiancortado · 27/01/2018 19:45

Seriously do some people have no sense of embarrassment?

Well you obviously don't Hmm

Thishatisnotmine · 27/01/2018 19:46

Is this some kind of I'm Spartacus thing?

I too bled and leaked urine after I gave birth. Did the OP daintily give birth with no mess afterwards?

missymisdemeanor · 27/01/2018 19:46

Good for her. It needs normalising. Women fart, poo, sometimes wet themselves (esp post childbirth) and burp[ like every other human being. I appreciate her honesty.

WeAllHaveWings · 27/01/2018 19:49

My elderly mum stock piles Tena lady (maxi and massive sized nighttime ones) because they are free 🙄 on prescription, they give her more than she needs and she worries they’ll stop one day. She’s probably got enough to keep a small care home going for a couple of months!

No idea how we are going to dispose of them all when she no longer needs them.

duffaho · 27/01/2018 19:50

Cant see why its different to give something to a foodbank or through facebook. They will only be used by some poor soul who needs them and cant afford to buy them. They are for a simple malfunction of the human body which is only too common . Attitudes like yours make an annoying situation even worse.

missymisdemeanor · 27/01/2018 19:50

When I was pregnant I regularly shat myself as I vomited so hard that I lost control of my body. Once it started when I was out and I ended up lain on the canal tow path vomiting into the canal and shitting my pants whilst my 2 year old looked on. A lot of people passed me and ignored me. Eventually an old woman stopped, helped me up, helped me home by allowing me to lean on her zimmer-frame and put me to bed. I am eternally grateful for her kindness. Women should be kind and understanding of each others bodies. I think you need to ask yourself why you think this post was a good idea?

SparklyMagpie · 27/01/2018 19:50

I'm more embarrassed for you OP writing this post, not some advert on a fb group.

Actually I can't quite get me head around your post at all,why don't you have a look and see if they have some judgy pants for you?

meredintofpandiculation · 27/01/2018 19:50

It's really nice that you can now get incontinence pads in the supermarket, and that people will openly joke about not going on a bouncy castle. It's bad enough coping with the incontinence itself, without having to add shame to it.

Leeds2 · 27/01/2018 19:52

I really don't see the problem.

Littlemissmuff · 27/01/2018 19:52

Wow you sound like a bitch. Have you even had kids? Hopefully you are so amazing and have such a talented pelvic floor that when you sneeze you don't piss yourself If you ever do have them.
Actually I hope you Do, have some compassion ffs.

gamerchick · 27/01/2018 19:52

Why don't you come back and tell is why it's embarrassing OP, im sitting in the car waiting for the husband and could do with some amusement.

DeleteOrDecay · 27/01/2018 19:54

Genuinely don't see the issue. It's no different to someone offering out left over nappies their dc have outgrown.

Some people suffer from incontinence, big deal. It's nothing to be ashamed of.

MrsPreston11 · 27/01/2018 19:54

You’re the exact sort of reason I feel embarrassed buying panty liners design for wee not normal ones.

Sneeze pee is a fact of life and yet I’m ashamed.

That being said I wore the huge incontinece pants after birth. Best. Things. Ever.

Hours of secure protection. Can’t recommend enough.

(I did order them online though. I’m ashamed I was embarrassed of it. But I was.)

Badbadtromance · 27/01/2018 19:55

I suffer from inconvenience sometimes and it's not a laughing matter. Believe me you wouldn't like it op

SugarPlumpFairie · 27/01/2018 19:56

What a nasty person you are Biscuit

CottonEyeJosephine · 27/01/2018 19:58

Grow up OP.
