I can't remember the official term but they stick a pipe up your arse and flush all the shit out of your system. DH thinks it's a faddy waste of money but after suffering years of chronic constipation, I'd love to feel the emptiness just once?

I'm also trying to lose weight so this would probably rid me of half a stone of poo

This won't work to move an impacted mass but once you have shifted it - every morning, glug down a tbsp of golden linseeds which you've soaked overnight.

Your poop will slip out like a yard of satin.

I've name changed. I have a colostomy and I irrigate my colon every day. In my case this is a medical procedure following very clear guidelines and with plenty of research to back it up. The NHS will not prescribe the equipment to do this until after you have been had several sessions with a specially trained nurse.

It does not cure constipation. If I've had a shit diet for a few days, had too much alcohol and not enough water, I get constipated. As we all do. Irrigating doesn't touch that bit, sorry.

Also it's utter shit to suggest you get undigested bits of steak out of your gut. What I see regularly includes sweetcorn (obviously!), a smattering of peas and the odd stalk of salad leaves (the latter two are no longer green Grin) . From time to time I can identify a few other things but I have never seen undigested meat. And I have a fairly swift transit time.

A dose of ex-lax is cheaper

Do all these people that "detox" not have a liver or kidneys to do that for them? Confused My friend told me today she's "detoxing" on fruit tea.

Detox and cleanse are handy indicators of total nonsense. Come on, op, use your brain. Your colon doesn't need cleansing.

Any more than other nearby orifices do.
