AIBU to wonder where in the Canary Islands is like Playa Blanca in Lanzarote....but is not Playa Blanca in Lanzarote

We are looking at going for a holiday in th Canaries, and we have gone to Playa Blanca in the past, which was lovely, lively without being noisy, family friendly rather than nightclub -ish. I would love to go back! DH however doesn’t like going to the same place. So we are now searching for somewhere very like Playa Blanca, but is not Playa Blanca! It seems nuts to me, why try to re invent the wheel..... but if anyone has been to a pleasant family friendly resort anywhere else in the Canaries, I would love to hear about it....

Costa Adeje but the Del Duque end. The other end is a bit like Blackpool.

Correljo in fueteventura is lovely big sand dunes and lovely sea....nice resteraunts not very disco friendly

Costa Teguise is quite nice but a little quiter.

Second puerto de morgan in Gran Canaria though we were only there on a day trip. Lovely. Definitely not playa del ingles!

Mogan not morgan

Puerto Mogan in Gran Canaria is the only other place in the Canaries I've liked as much as Playa Blanca. It's lovely, but I prefer PB as we like that you can walk a long way along the seafront which you can't do in Puerto Mogan. It has a lovely harbour and some very nice bars and restaurants.

We've booked Hesperia Playa Dorado in PB for September, looks beautiful

We did like a previous poster sa coma majorca. Lovely beach and great walls. But we did find not as many foody places as other holidays. We love cafes and trying new things. Tho not too crazy as kids would say no lol.
Depending on the time of year maybe look at benalmadena? Can't fully compare to your original but worth a look.
Ps any other recommendations to a warm place but do of cafes and good food places.

Caleta used to be like a mini Benidorm without the nightlife. It's now pretty decent. Though we're looking elsewhere in Fuerte next time as the influx of people is too much now around there during summer. No longer so chilled out like it used to be and feels rammed :(

I thought meloneras was shit, we went again in november to try again, but no, still as shit. Puerto mogan was alright though if you like it a bit livelier.

I prefer a lively place, playa blanca sounds interesting, im off to have a wee google.

Im more of a city person I guess, sometimes its nice to see more people, vehicles and buildings than sheep

Ha! Just spent an hour drooling over Princess Yaiza - and, yeah, can't afford it! Thanks for the suggestion though.

Thank you all so much.... such delay in reading thie thread with the entire house getting vomiting bug, one after the other 😩😩😩 delighted to have some great advice for other similar places now .... ed75 we also were miles off affording Princess Yaiza but loved going in there for a drink or ice cream for the kids! We booked a self catering villa with company called Lanzarote Lates, and was all great value and great service and help from the company too! I would recommend going on their website and contacting them, they will sort you out with a lovely place in no time 😊

Mogan is lovely. We stayed at Gloria Palace which is between Puerto Rico and Amardores. Lively evenings in town but family friendly too. We went when dd was 1.
