Love stories of how people met!
Me and my partner met at 14, I went out with his friend!! We kissed at 16 but I moved 200 miles away. We met up once at 18 and had a one night stand but didn't speak again for 10 years! 3 years ago I was in a pub and walked past him, we chatted a bit and went back to our friends, that night he found me on Facebook and we met up again. 3 years on he's my best friend, we are getting married next year and we had a baby 3m ago.

So what's your story with your partner?

We're child-free by choice so don't have to explain the weir circumstances to any children

Guardian Soulmates. I was living with an ex-boyfriend at the time - it was going absolutely nowhere and I knew I was going to end it. My mum suggested I take a look at GS, so I did. Obviously couldn’t contact my future DH (whose GS profile I was very very taken with) whilst still living with my ex, but 6 weeks or so later I had moved out and I contacted him. A few emails later and we went out for a drink. I was waiting in the doorway of the cafe we were meeting at and the first I saw of him was his reflection in a car parked outside. It was the B52s tshirt that did it Together since that day - 9 years in, married for 2 and first baby due in 7 weeks! He is my world.

I was at a concert at Ally Pally, he served me and my friend. I couldn't stop going out about how gorgeous he was so went to get a drink from him later on and I asked him if we wanted to go for a drink sometime, he said yes. We got married 10 months later! Have 2 dc now and very happy!

He saw me singing in a church choir at a friends farewell evening. Thought I was an angel and I saw him from the church stand and thought phwoar!!
Men were on the rare side in church so I sacrificed my nibbles and free nosh so no one else could swoop in while I was feeding my face. Then he took me for chicken burger, chips, thousand Islam dressing, Diet Coke and ice cream on the seafront wall. He loved me from the second he saw me! That was 27 years ago. He's my everything!

We met through a mutual friend. The best part is that said friend apparently told us the same thing! He told me "my friend is having some trouble with the ladies, can i give him your number?"

DH said that friend told him "my friends is having trouble with men, do you want her number?"

He called me Wenger i was driving and the connection kept dropping. Happily he believed me when I said this, and didn't think i was being rude. Our seconddate was to go see the movie "pig hunt". Which pretty much cemented our relationship.

In a bar - 31 years ago - married for 28 years.
Long before the internet, mobile phones social media and other such inventions!

I saw him on tv! And I searched for him on twitter. We talked, about a year later we met up. Been together for about 4 years and we’re expecting a little human of our own

We were in the same team at work but hardly spoke, then a few months in he saw I had a room for rent in my house and moved in. We spent the first month chatting into the early hours every night and going to work together. I had no romantic feelings for him at all! But he confessed his feelings one night and I decided to give it a go... It was a slow burner but he became more attractive every day and we became really close quite fast. Now 10 years together and still hooked!

Just came out of a shit relationship with a compulsive liar, friends suggested online dating to keep my mind off things.

I had 2 shit dates and then met my DP. 3 years later, We're engaged and expecting our first baby.

We met in a nightclub.
We slept together a couple of nights later and I intended that to be a one night stand.
Nearly 30 years and 2 adult kids later we're still happy!

One night stand.... 15 years ago.

Via a networking website for sports/hobby/business contacts. Meet for company at cinema and walks and it went from there.

At work. His colleague forced him to ask me out. I wanted to say no because i hate interacting with colleagues privately. I'm very glad now i didn't.

My hubby was my boss. We met at work, got married a month later and 20 years on still very happy, very much in love and have created 4 more little people.

I met my partner in a backpackers hostel on the other side of the world. Both of us had just started a years backpacking round the country, and met in the first hostel we stayed in. We spent a fantastic year together in a beautiful country having the time of our lives.
When we came home (both from the uk) we moved in together and have been together ever since. We have a DC and another on the way, and are getting married in a couple of months. Best thing that ever happened to me

I played opposite him in a play! He was very shy, and I had to persuade him to get up close and personal! It's pretty amazing that we got together at all thinking about it now, but we've been together 12 years, married for 7

On the internet!
Arranged to meet for coffee at a bookshop, which I couldn't find and he had to direct me over the phone.
Went to the theatre, which wasn't planned. Just hung out.
13 years ago.

In Fiji. I was managing one of those gap year projects and he was one of the volunteers. We got drunk and played truth or dare and I confessed I fancied him. When it was his turn he said he fancied this really annoying girl. He says it was to put them off the scent as he really fancied me.

When I left the project 3 months later I took a souvenir home with me. 12 years later we're married with 2 DCs

Met on holiday the other side of the world. Had a couple of days together before his holiday ended. When I got back a couple of eeeks later he came to help me move into my new flat. He never really went home again. We were married for 26 years until cancer took him from me last year. Wouldn’t have missed a moment of those years together and miss him everyday.

At work. He was my boss we have been married for over 30 yrs now
