Just seems like a disgracefully ignorant racist:

If she looked 18 and drop dead gorgeous would her views be OK? If someone looks older than their age and not good looking but has never said or done anything bad can be still think they are good despite their looks?

So depressing that whatever a woman does it comes down to insults about how she looks.

Samcro · 15/01/2018 10:39

i called her ugly cos she is, she is an ugly person cos of what she said.

Doubletrouble99 · 15/01/2018 10:50

UKIP have removed her membership and Bolton has finished with her apparently. But how come he didn't know her views already? Is it just because it has been made public!!
Anyway what sort of 25 year old goes out with an old baldy like Bolton?

dingdongdigeridoo · 15/01/2018 10:56

There's no way he didn't know about her views. They're no doubt his views too, but he has the sense to hide them behind euphemisms.

I read that his ex-wife lives in Vienna and was supporting the family. She must be loving this shitshow.

SheStoopsToConker · 15/01/2018 11:14

I can't believe there are people here getting more het up over comments about Jo looking older than 25 rather than her racist comments.

I think the only reason her looks are being criticised here are because she criticised MM's, calling her a 'scrubber' and if you're stupid enough to do that, then you do open yourself up to further criticism.

BertrandRussell · 15/01/2018 11:28

“I can't believe there are people here getting more het up over comments about Jo looking older than 25 rather than her racist comments”

They aren’t.

Fekko · 15/01/2018 11:57

I’m pissed that she has said worse in public and not been condemned. This hasn’t even been ‘the straw that broke the camels back’.

Her looks are irrelevant (although she does describe herself as a model and is hawking ‘glamour’ shots to the Sun)

PriaMaicel · 15/01/2018 12:27

What a surprise that it took the slinging racist insults at the royal family for people to finally take note of what a vile human being she is. When she was found to have made racist comments about the victims of the grenfell tower fire and nhs nurses barely anyone batted an eyelid.

areyoubeingserviced · 15/01/2018 12:37

The reason people are commenting on her looks is that she called black people ‘ugly’.

Battleax · 15/01/2018 12:44

The reason people are commenting on her looks is that she called black people ‘ugly’

That shows you how sensible it looks as a point.

saladdays66 · 15/01/2018 12:49

Her apology said: 'I'd like to say I'm absolutely devastated by the messages that I've sent and the distress that I've caused anyone.'

She's devastated, is she? She might want to look it up in a dictionary.

'They were never intended to be put in the public domain@
So WTF does she think Twitter is?

Vile human being.

IJoinedJustToPostThis · 15/01/2018 12:57

It was interesting hearing John Humphrys on Today this morning, trying to have a go at Bolton for his attitude/behaviour towards women...

rcit · 15/01/2018 13:05

Whilst those texts clearly contain horrific undeniable racism, there is something completely weird about the format of them which makes me wonder whether someone took her phone and wrote them.

Whoever she is texting is sending one text and then Jo responds with 6 or 7 awful texts in a row. Then for the counter party to prod a little more with another single brief text and along come 6 or 7 more awful texts from Jo. And then another single text (one word this time) and then another string of texts from Jo. It’s odd.

Battleax · 15/01/2018 13:07

I think the other party have deleted some of the prompts. (To exonerate themselves a bit?)!But it doesn't change the gist of what she says.

IJoinedJustToPostThis · 15/01/2018 13:08

Not everything horrible that she said was in a weird format.

To wonder: in what context does Jo Marney think her comments would not be racist
BertrandRussell · 15/01/2018 14:07

“The reason people are commenting on her looks is that she called black people ‘ugly’“

I know why. I don’t agree with it.

grannytomine · 15/01/2018 14:09

I don't agree with it either. It gets very like kids in the playground. What she said is vile and that has nothing whatsoever to do with her looks or her age.

beluga425 · 15/01/2018 14:27

I don't think people are overly commenting on her basic looks. I do think that in some of the photos she looks deeply unpleasant and that it is down to what is going on in her brain. She is an angry racist and looks it. Look at this:
www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/01/14/girlfriend-ukip-leader-suspended-racist-meghan-markle-remarks/
I think her behaviour is ugly, her views are ugly and that makes her rather an ugly person.
It's in the same way that Jeremy Hunt looks like a liar when he purposely focuses to stops himself from blinking. Not a comment on his basic looks, a comment on what is going on inside.

I think you're waffling Grin

There have been multiple references to her appearance.

It's not only puerile, it's completely redundant when her published utterances are so unpleasant.

flirtygirl · 15/01/2018 15:26

Her looks are relevant when she calls a whole race or ethnic group ugly and when she maligns a beautiful actress who happens to be mixed race and half black.

The fact that she looks 45 and is ugly should hbee mentioned, as her ugly exterior does indeed match her ugly interior.

She is truly ugly inside and out.

BarbarianMum · 15/01/2018 15:29

So would it be OK for her to say this if she was a gorgeous 23 year old top model? No, it wouldn't. Ergo her looks are irrelevent.

flirtygirl · 15/01/2018 15:32

Her messages have caused outrage as they are so openly racist but lots of politicians and many even on mumsnet get by with euphemisms all the time, that barely cover their veneer of im not a racist, when they are being racist.

Brexit is bringing it to the fore but racism never left at all, the 90s were n99sot as bad as the the 80s, that were not as bad as the 70s and so on. Racism was hidden and is now being given full reign in all sorts of places and communities.

She felt very comfortable airing her views on many occasions because she is surrounded by those who share her views.
The uk is still deeply racist.

FluffyWuffy100 · 15/01/2018 15:37

Yup!

Battleax · 15/01/2018 15:38

Why are her looks relevant because of what she said? Confused

What I take from all that^ is that she's a nasty racist. Why does it make one ounce of difference whether she's a stunning nasty racist or a hideous nasty racist? Why even go there?

It's like saying "Hitler was a record breaking mass murderer. Oh and his feet smelt".

It's something a seven year old would say.

flirtygirl · 15/01/2018 15:39

barbarian, if she was beautiful then everyone wouldnt be mentioning that she was indeed ugly but they would still mention that she was ugly on the inside.

She bought up looks and opened herself up to criticism of her looks as its a case of the pot calling the kettle black. Espescially when she discusses Mm.
