Hi all, this may sound silly and if my partner where to know I was thinking this he would properly laugh at me!

But I've been really really unhappy about the way I look for a really long time.

On the first of Feb I'm starting a knew life journey. I'm a mum and I work, we don't eat great at all mainly bingeing o takeaway (apart from my child).

My knew goal is to do a HUGE body and health transformation on myself and family.

I have wrote up everything

Such as healthy meals my weight goal would mean making 6 meals a day and ecersizeing but of course being a wife and mother its hard so I've made meals for my husband and child from my own good if you get what I mean.

I'm 100% this is going to change mine and my families life and I want to share it with other people.

However mumsnet is the only social account i have. I don't do Facebook or is ta or anything and don't like having my face or my families on the internet.

Do you guys think it would be okay and a good idea if I did a knew like youtube channel and tried to help other struggling mum's to make them self and their families gather. But here's the catch
...I would have too have my face blurred. Would this be weird. Would you be like...err no

bamber dh you think the op’s standard of English is good enough for a blog?

Idontwanttolooklikethisanymore · 13/01/2018 22:04

It's not my health its someone else's and everything is a bit up in the air at the moment. Also I can read and write properly. I'm just typing so fast I've missed stuff out. Sorry about that. Also that is for the replies. I just thought I'd try and help others as well as helping my family. But my aim wasn't to be known for it. I just wanted to help. Because in my situation it really hard to eat healthy meals and exercise with work and being a mum and my husband.

It will change my families life of course it will going from eating the way we have to eating the meals I've now created it will. And I'm sure it would help others.

Sorry if I sound a dick. I just thought it would be a fun way to help other mum's as well. Sorry

In the kindest possible way, OP might need a proof reader off blogging.

PurpleDaisies · 13/01/2018 22:06

That doesn’t mean you can’t start eating proper food. You can get healthy food to stick in a microwave.

ManchesterGin · 13/01/2018 22:06

I would focus on helping yourself and your family. If you want to video and put on YouTube (not blurred, that's strange) then fine but do it for you, not for potential viewers.

LovingLola · 13/01/2018 22:06

If your child is eating healthy meals and not takeaways then surely it means that you are cooking for that child (ie. you have the time and energy to cook). So why the takeaways for everyone else?

sandytune · 13/01/2018 22:07

Seriously though I think you should go for it. If you don't try then you will never know. Could you possibly just angle the camera so no ones heads are showing?

Chrys2017 · 13/01/2018 22:07

Why are you bingeing on takeaways instead of just eating them? This sort of language around food really irritates me and isn’t helpful.

Are you saying there is no difference between 'bingeing' and 'eating'? Because there is, I can assure you.

IlikemyTeahot · 13/01/2018 22:07

What about a blog love?

ButchyRestingFace · 13/01/2018 22:09

Also please don't laugh at me I feel like a cringe already. I just would like to help people but wouldn't like to be famous or known or anything.

But you haven't done it yet.

You don't know whether what you have in mind will work or that you'll be able to stick at it.

Walk before you can run, etc, etc.

I'd just stick photos of my progress on Instagram if I was that desperate keen for the luvz.

Idontwanttolooklikethisanymore · 13/01/2018 22:11

Sandytune and ilikemyteahot....thank you i will think about them both. I feel a bit silly now all I wanted to do was help my family and help others. I can't explain my full situation with out being outing. I feel like such a dick and now i feel like an uneducated fool be sure my grammar and spelling isn't up to much. I think I'll just have this thread deleted. If the mumsnet people would allow it. I feel a little teary doesn't think such comments would make me feel this way. Thank you for some that have helped.

One of my friends is a streamer on twitch, he used to do it for fun, early last year he blew up, he quit his job to become a full time streamer!

He now has over 5500 subs, not like youtube, on twitch you have to pay for a sub, it cost $5.99 for a sub, he gets 55% of that, and every month that sub either renews or you cancel it, on a daily basis he makes anywhere from £20 to £700 in donations, not subs and he gets the full amount from it

MakeMisogynyAHateCrime · 13/01/2018 22:14

😂😂😂

BKHUN91 · 13/01/2018 22:15

It was a very sweet idea. Maybe you could document things as you go along and then upload them over a period of time when you have made the changes. Or you could start with an Instagram account?

ButchyRestingFace · 13/01/2018 22:16

Like I said I was thinking of blurring my face so no one would now it was me. I just wanted to help people while helping my self

But like I said, you don't know how it's going to go yet. I'd concentrate on yourself for the moment and leave all thoughts of helping other people to one side.

MiddleClassProblem · 13/01/2018 22:17

If this makes you teary don’t go to YouTube. There will be 100 times worse comments than here. Even if you were doing a video on curing cancer there would be some troll twat commenting on your looks just to make you feel shit.

Idontwanttolooklikethisanymore · 13/01/2018 22:19

I get what your all saying. It's just when you get that great idea in your head and think wow I could really help people. It was one of those. Sorry.

Maybe do more of a diary than a teaching? Logging the highs and lows of your own journey.

ButchyRestingFace · 13/01/2018 22:21

Well, no need to be sorry. It was just an idea you're running past a bunch of ol' randoms on MN. Smile

I agree with MCP, I don't think Youtube is a place for anyone who doesn't have the hide of a rhinoceros, unfortunately.

Idontwanttolooklikethisanymore · 13/01/2018 22:22

That's a great idea middle-classproblem. Thank you 😊

Why would you blur your face?

For something like this to work, people would need to see YOU!
The reason some people become "sensations" is not because of what they are offering but because of them! People are buying joe wicks for examples.

You would need to be comfortable to be authentically you! Warts and all!

Maybe you could start with a Facebook group? Post live videos in there, that way you can build your confidence knowing you have a smaller audience? X

athingthateveryoneneeds · 13/01/2018 22:22

I think it takes a lot of tech savvy in order to be a popular youtuber these days. There's just too much competition, especially in the dieting/healthy eating category.

Maybe something simpler would be an Instagram account alongside a Facebook page. Post photos of your ingredients, or cooked meal, post a few sentences about it, a link to the recipe, etc. There's a lot out there but it is a good start. I've found that the majority of healthy eating bloggers are American, so UK recipes would be more unique.

Please don't pay any attention to the nasty comments. Some people seem to forget there's a real person reading their words. You seem genuine and nice.

Farmerswife36 · 13/01/2018 22:25

Start tomorrow not February !!!!

Idontwanttolooklikethisanymore · 13/01/2018 22:29

Athingthateveryoneneeds

Thank you very much I'm just lying here in bed think how much a fool I may sound haha. But thank you anyways. I think I'll just leave it to the professionals and just do it for myself and family. I'm sure people out there can get help they need from better people. Thank you. You have made me feel alot better.
