i just mean to mumsnet as i don't feel comfortable with them being on here though i don't think there's anything wrong with you asking the question at all and you are perfectly reasonable as are we all!

Hillls · 26/04/2007 11:15

OMG Call social services its fucking discusting!!

If you dont I will!

staceym11 · 26/04/2007 11:16

ok nicky perfectly within your rights, i was just wondering if i was missing something to be so stressed/depressed/upset abou them when they were sent to me by a mother!

OP posts:
nickytwotimes · 26/04/2007 11:19

have reported it. said the thread was entirely reasonable and correct, just not sure about those pictures and sorry if i am overreacting!

nickytwotimes · 26/04/2007 11:20

sent to you by a mother! no, you are right to be upset. some folk are weird

staceym11 · 26/04/2007 11:20

no thats fine, have got to go feed ds and am acctually going to delete the pics off my picture trail and will email the woman asking her not to send me these sorts of emails.......

my stomach feels really odd after realising jsut how distressed i am but i dont think i can do anything abou it!

SoupDragon · 26/04/2007 11:21

"Call social services" Oh come on! What on earth do you think they're going to do??

MamaD · 26/04/2007 11:23

I dont like the kids flipping the bird, nor the smoking one but I'm not overly concerned about the others. They aren't nice and not that funny but it's not like the kids will be scarred for life by these images.

I think calling social services or the poilce or whatever is going over the top.

The OP is not being unreasonable to feel sick, but I think to take it further would be

(waits for people to start screaming at her)

staceym11 · 26/04/2007 11:23

i sort of agree soupy, esp as i dont know where they have come from, now if it was a pic of a child i knew that would be a different story.....but i still think this is deeply wrong!

jomist · 26/04/2007 11:23

Disgusting! Kids should be removed from these animals - not fit to parent

Can you not contact your internet provider and ask them to trace the sender, you can ask the local police to research it too, they will be able to.

SoupDragon · 26/04/2007 11:25

The one I think is actually the worst is the smoking one.

There's no point calling social services because the chances are these aren't UK chidren anyway, they could be from anywhere.

hmmm....might ask my best friend as he's a community support officer and see if he thinks thet'd do anything.....

OP posts:
Blu · 26/04/2007 11:27

They are taken by parents with no sense of taste, and pathetic immature sense of humour, who think it hilarious and original to take pics of children in inappropriate poses - but that doesn't make them SS material, necessarily.
If they were REALLY microwaving the baby or letting them smoke or drink, then reporting would make sense .

But then, look at the number of MN-ers who confidently allow their young children to drink alcohol!

staceym11 · 26/04/2007 11:27

ok am removing them now and off to feed ds. thank you for confirming im not overreacting!

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 26/04/2007 11:28

"you can ask the local police to research it" The pictures are from a website, how do you think they're going to trace the origin of the pictures? None of those children are actually being hurt (I admit the microwave one and the sandwich one are distressed but they're not hurt - they didn't actually eat their child or microwave them). You may find the pictures nasty but, to be blunt, there are far worse photos out there that the police should be tracking down and convicting people over.

Hillls · 26/04/2007 11:28

I'd say they were english, by the housing estate.

Lovecat · 26/04/2007 11:30

Yes, disturbing, esp. in two where the kids are crying, but am I alone in finding the one with the gaffer-taped baby quite funny...?

oliveoil · 26/04/2007 11:30

as no-one is answering my question I will judge from the posts not to open it
