YANBU! Does he know specifically where you are staying (I.e. hotel) or just town? If town only, he’ll be easy to avoid. You don’t invite yourself on someone else’s holiday.

Yeah, that sounds a bit weird altogether, but I don't know whether or not he fancies you, he might just have no friends of his own, and because you were kind to him he's latched onto you as being his "friend".

Might be an idea to have a word with his mum if you don't want to talk to him directly, to say you're finding it a bit overwhelming but you don't want to hurt his feelings - but you'd probably do better to talk to him yourself if you can.

OP YADNBU. Bit weird of him to do this! What on earth made him think this is OK. Def be really clear you and your boyfriend will not hanging out with him or looking after him.
