To be fuming with Laura Ashley?

So I ordered a few bits and bobs on Boxing Day - just a few teatowels, a handbag and a purse, nothing big. Delivery was supposed to be within 10 days, and when I messaged them on facebook yesterday, my order had still not been dispatched or even put together.
I am seriously tempted to ring them up, cancel my order and demand a refund. This is ridiculous. URGH!

Rant over.

So you ordered tea towels and a handbag; you've not ordered wallpaper with someone on standby waiting to decorate a room?

This is my first ever Biscuit

I’ll tell you who has got mail order sorted, it’s Uniqlo. Ordered 12 noon on 29th, parcel delivered 9.30 am on 30th.

They obviously haven't got to grips with the online side of things.

I ordered a shirt to be delivered to my local LA store for collection last summer (so not a busy period). It took just over a week.

Ispy I placed an order on 20th december,I phoned 29th December and it had still not been dispatched....i received it 2 days later
So...within their stated delivery estimate? I get that it seems a long estimate, but it’s clearly stated on the website - if you don’t want to wait that long, buy from somewhere else.

Bluntness100 · 07/01/2018 21:30

I don't know if they lack investment as they are struggling or they really have no idea what their competitors do in terms of delivery options and tracking and how important it is.

Online shopping is such a big part of our society now, it's beyond bizzare that someone as big as laura Ashley can't even commit to getting your goods there in two weeks.

Bluntness100 · 07/01/2018 21:32

And that's the crux of it, everyone is. Which is such a shame because they will go out of business like Woolworths. And the two weeks delivery estimate is jist a goal, they are very clear it's not a commitment and the goods could arrive much later.

Whitney168 · 07/01/2018 21:53

As Bluntness says, I do. And the more people that do that, the more precarious their business will be, their choice.

Funnily enough, as a previous poster said, they are a ‘tag team’ in our branch too. Never get it anywhere else, so obviously don’t just look like a shoplifter. 🤣

It is a shame - they have some nice things, but they are not keeping up, and today’s climate is not kind to companies that don’t.

La has zilch customer service. I like some of their stuff but buying from them annoys myself

I always think it’s funny/ slightly odd/ probably embarrassing when somebody starts a thread and then never comes back as the thread is full of biscuits and “ are you on glue” style comments!!

But, I agree with PP. If you are fuming because your tea towels haven’t arrived then your life must be either dull or amazing.
Truly a first world problem.

I can beat that. I ordered some pens on Amazon at 6:30pm and they were delivered at 9:30 the next morning. It was with prime but even so!

I had to double check when I had ordered it as it seemed to quick to be true.
