My friend came to visit me earlier which is unusual as I normally only see her when I am in her area (I moved an hour away so it's where I grew up so I see her when visiting family) anyway when she got to mine she said the reason for her visit was to dump her neighbours cat in my area! Apparently it has been continuously pissing and shitting on her bed and fighting her other cats that she got fed up (after speaking with the neighbour many times who apparently didn't do anything) she decided to take it as far as she could travel and dump it, which happened to be my area. She said she caught it in her cat carrier and let it out once she got to the station! Aibu in being disgusted by this?!

Sorry I missed the bit where she's already released the cat.

KC225 · 03/01/2018 01:06

I could not be friends with someone like that. What a cruel woman. I cannot believe she has her own cats and yet does this to someone's pet.

Just put in a bloody cat flap.

wednesdayswench · 03/01/2018 01:11

Well, obviously you have ended this friendship. Right?

StaplesCorner · 03/01/2018 01:23

so she stole the cat? Sorry has MN gone mad tonight? What a cruel woman, does she have MH issues or just a cunt?

LolaTheDarkdestroyer · 03/01/2018 01:24

Surely that's illegal anyway it's stealing? Sick bitch

StaplesCorner · 03/01/2018 01:25

Anyway never mind her, you can put this right by reporting to RSPCA online now, takes a couple of minutes, and never contact her again. Give your head a little wobble as well, assuming you let her in and then sat and listened to this, politely.

WellAlwaysHaveParis · 03/01/2018 01:29

Bloody hell. Poor cat :(

Xihha · 03/01/2018 01:31

that's awful! Can you let the neighbour know? I know the cats probably long gone by now but at least they'd know where to start looking.

Birdshitbridgegotme · 03/01/2018 02:33

Wow, if i found out she did that to my cat she would be sorry. What a bitch. What can her neighbour do if its a outdoor cat? sure can't follow it around seeing whete iur goes. It's her own problem to sort the cat getting in her place to piss and shit on her bed. Don't get me wrong its awful but what she done is worse in my opinion

Agerbilatemycardigan · 03/01/2018 02:40

What a horrible thing to do Sad

MiddleClassProblem · 03/01/2018 10:55

I woke up really angry at this in the middle of the night. I can’t understand how a cat owner can have so little empathy for a cat. And it’s her fault. The owner can’t stop it going in her house, only she can!

GreenTulips · 03/01/2018 10:59

The owner could get the her cat neutered. She could keep it indoors.

It's causing issues which the woman has raised and done nothing.

I'm not saying it's right, but I'm not surprised she felt she had little choice

SaucyJack · 03/01/2018 10:59

"The owner can’t stop it going in her house."

Well, yes- they could if they wanted to.

They could keep the cat indoors or build a mesh pen outside to limit the cat's territory.

SparklyMagpie · 03/01/2018 11:05

If this is true, you should contact this neighbour so they know

And id also be contacting your "friend to tell her I'm dumping her

MiddleClassProblem · 03/01/2018 11:24

I didn’t realise the cat wasn’t neutered. Plenty spray and fight after being neutered.

And no, the cat shouldn’t suddenly become an indoor cat and maybe they can’t mesh their garden. I certainly couldn’t mine!

And as said before, the friend has no idea if her cats are getting into others houses and eating their food etc when their out and about.

SaucyJack · 03/01/2018 11:37

"And no, the cat shouldn’t suddenly become an indoor cat"

Well, if there's apparently nothing else the owner can do, then yes it should.

Cats don't come above humans in the grand scheme of things. We're not talking about a cat-hater who simply doesn't want to see cats in her garden. The bloody thing is pissing on her mattress.

That's not OK. It's not something she should have to tolerate because the people next door CBA with responsible pet ownership.

basketbreath · 03/01/2018 11:38

If you can relocate this cat please do, please try. It's such a horrible thing to of actually done. I have a cat problem and joke about these types of things but would never really do them. I bet you will never look at your 'friend' the same way again or trust them. Sounds like you wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of them. Really disturbing behaviour.

MiddleClassProblem · 03/01/2018 11:44

She could get a catflap and stop using a bloody window. It’s not cat above humans, it’s bloody common sense. If someone broke in using that window her insurance would be void anyway.

An outdoor cat suddenly becoming an indoor can get aggressive or depressed and under stimulated.

SaucyJack · 03/01/2018 11:55

I'm sure she'd be happy to install a microchip cat flap if the neighbours were paying for it.

It's their cat that is the issue, ergo they are the ones that need to find and finance the solution. I still don't get why you're so keen to blame this woman because she doesn't want to find cat shit in her bed.

"An outdoor cat suddenly becoming an indoor can get aggressive or depressed and under stimulated."

And? I'd feel aggressive, depressed and over-stimulated if my mattress reeked of tom cat piss.

The cat's feelings were not the priority here. Unfortunately for the poor cat, it's his owner's taking the same neglectful view as you that has contributed to his possible death.

DownTheChimney · 03/01/2018 12:03

And this bitch is your friend?

Snowman41 · 03/01/2018 12:04

I wouldn't be surprised to find this a reverse...

DontFundHate · 03/01/2018 12:05

Call 111 Wink

MiddleClassProblem · 03/01/2018 12:09

I’m not blaming her because she doesn’t want to find cat shit on her bed but she too hasn’t done anything to sort it either. If it were me, I would have put in a catflap. Sure it would be lovely if the neighbour would offer to pay but maybe that hasn’t occurred to them or they can’t afford it. Maybe the friend can’t afford it either and I’m assuming the window is open because she’s out the house working which means she may be able to buy one. If not then she doesn’t need the window open. Plenty of owners let their cat in when it comes to the door or window, sometimes notifying With a meow or a tap.

What she has done is awful.

MiddleClassProblem · 03/01/2018 12:11

And I used to work in animal welfare so I don’t tend to think humans are above animal especially if they are able to solve the problem but don’t do anything about it.

Rudgie47 · 03/01/2018 12:17

Report her to the Police and RSPCA and say you are done with her, the friendship is over.
Tell the neighbour and local cat rescues and lost and found groups for your area. Hopefully the cat will be found and reunited or rehomed.
This woman will treat you in a harsh uncaring manner if you ever have any problems.Thats why to need to get rid of her.
