Anyone also got really bad weather in the U.K.? In west London, and the wind's howling outside the windows, with the rain lashing down Confused Really noisy!!

N.Yorks here and high winds...

steff13 · 03/01/2018 00:23

I'm in Ohio, and it's quiet. But it's also -12 F (-24 C), so basically there's a polar bear habitat in our backyard.

LuluJakey1 · 03/01/2018 00:24

Wind getting up here now - Northumberland. Can hear it.

Red2017 · 03/01/2018 00:25

The wind is crazy here in Lancashire... I'm trying to sleep but the noise is keeping me awake .. I can hear things crashing about

Newlifeisstarting · 03/01/2018 00:25

The wind is very noisy here in France, we’re supposed to get gusts to 110km tonight. I spent the afternoon shuttering up the farm, but waiting for the roof to fly off!

pieceofpurplesky · 03/01/2018 00:35

I am on a hill in the north west that faces the coast (miles away but nothing in between) - it's wicked!

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 03/01/2018 00:35

North Essex. It's rather windy.

ladybird69 · 03/01/2018 00:38

Really bad here in Gloucestershire and lot of services on the roads can hear all of their sirens 🚨
I’m shit scared of the wind.

Walkerbean16 · 03/01/2018 00:42

Pretty windy! I'm in N.Yorks.

Im North Essex too. Windy and my legs feel very cold.

LuluJakey1 · 03/01/2018 01:06

South Northumberland - now tipping it down as well as very windy.

ohfortuna · 03/01/2018 01:07

Wind has now dropped here on the south east coast

maddiemookins16mum · 03/01/2018 01:18

Kent - very, very windy. I've come downstairs and an MN in the dark in the lounge. I just can't sleep and have to be on a train to work in 6.5 hours! I'm dreading how tired I'll be come Wed night.

abbsisspartacus · 03/01/2018 01:22

West Midlands here it's howling outside I feel like Dorothy

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 03/01/2018 01:58

N.Yorks here and it's pretty crazy! Grrr....want to get some sleep but it's too noisy!

Dixiestampsagain · 03/01/2018 02:02

All I’ve got in my head is ‘the wind is howling like a swirling storm outside’ (slight artistic license, there!).
DS 10 had football training in it earlier and was wringing the water out of his kit!

Count2three · 03/01/2018 02:03

East Midlands is quite unsettling right now. Have taken my duvet downstairs to the sofa. Usually top floor of a v exposed three storey and its impossible to sleep, could feel the house vibrating.

WinterWinds · 03/01/2018 02:13

Just had the loudest thunder lightening and hail storm. Lasted less than ten minutes, hail sounded like the roof and windows were going to give way. Dd was woken and said her bed and windows were rattling. Cats bloody petrified.

Everything is pure white looks like snow!! But again is now strangely calm!!!Hmm

Am in East Mids

FrivolouslyFancifulFannie · 03/01/2018 02:15

Near Gateshead and the wind is really starting to pick up now, howling and windows rattling, no rain, just wind.

happymummy12345 · 03/01/2018 02:22

I'm in Liverpool and it's been pouring with rain most of the day, and the wind has been very bad. Seems to have got worse as its got later.
Was worried about dh as he had to travel home from work fairly late but he was fine, just cold. Thankfully ds and dcat are both okay too. I hate it though.

Thetreesareallgone · 03/01/2018 02:33

winter there's just been lightening/thunder here in SW as well, very loud!

PricillaQueenOfTheDesert · 03/01/2018 02:39

Thunder and lightning just passed over the Midlands, still blowing a gale.

CiderwithBuda · 03/01/2018 03:46

In Somerset. It's a bit calmer now but has been very windy and lots of rain. I kept thinking it had passed over but then it woke me again.

No thunder though.

Eebahgumlass · 03/01/2018 04:00

It's been blowing a gale here in Cambridgeshire too - just calming down now. Husband and I are awake- kids haven't stirred at all!
