Anyone also got really bad weather in the U.K.? In west London, and the wind's howling outside the windows, with the rain lashing down Confused Really noisy!!

Just got home abandoned my caravan as was shaking and terrified! Let my mobile and came home in PJs! Coast S Wales. Home safe now and not as gusty as by the sea! It is set to get worse so glad I left as would not have slept with fear!

ClownsAndJokers · 02/01/2018 23:49

Titty you’re much more observant than me - I never even noticed this is posted in AIBU!

Scruffette · 02/01/2018 23:49

West coast of Ireland here. We got hammered earlier. It was scary. I've been here 10 years and that is the worst I've ever seen. Now it's back to usual angry wind but due to hit hard again with the high tide at 5 or 6am. I've been in bed for hours listened to the creaking and groans of the house and hoping it all holds tight.

ChameleonCircuit · 02/01/2018 23:49

Sounds like it's trying to put my windows through in West Yorkshire.

Dancetothebeat32 · 02/01/2018 23:50

North west by the sea and it is pretty bloody windy here

Bunnyjo · 02/01/2018 23:51

In Cumbria - we're one of the regions forecast to be hardest hit and we are being absolutely battered at the moment.

CatastropheKate · 02/01/2018 23:51

Didn't realise that we have 60mph winds forecast overnight until I saw this thread. It does sound quite blowy outside at the moment (East Yorks).

Wish that we'd taken down the outdoor Christmas lights.

nocoolnamesleft · 02/01/2018 23:53

It is a wee bit breezy. (Too windy to be physically able to open my back door)

SleightOfMind · 02/01/2018 23:54

Oh dear. I’d forgotten about the baubles on the tree outside!

HirplesWithHaggis · 02/01/2018 23:54

West coast of Scotland, totally silent atm.

Khaleesi0 · 02/01/2018 23:55

Carlisle - It's evil here and I'm unlikely to sleep!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 02/01/2018 23:55

I'm in liverpool. Very bad earlier seems to have settled down now. However it's still quite windy and slightly raining
Im going to sleep with my window open.
I love the sound of storms. Anyone else feel the same or am I just a straaange person.Grin

YESitsanextender · 02/01/2018 23:56

It's pretty hardcore here in Norfolk too

WinterWinds · 03/01/2018 00:00

We've had about half an hour of bouncing on the pavement rain and a few strong gusts of wind earlier.
One of my cats is frightened of any noise from the front door (i.e. Doorbell, knocking, letterbox chapping or post coming through etc) she was sound asleep, big gust of wind battered the letterbox and she fell of the sofa in fright!😅

All is calm now, just a bit breezy.

MadMaryBoddington · 03/01/2018 00:01

Sussex. It’s wild. I hate hate hate gales - I find it really distressing and start imagining the chimneys blowing over. I feel nauseous. No sleep for me tonight.

Chocarocker · 03/01/2018 00:02

Cumbria here, not too far from the coast and the wind is absolutely hammering us atm. Can’t sleep for the noise!

Fruitbat1980 · 03/01/2018 00:05

Kent coast here. Laying here waiting to hear the snap and whoosh as the fence goes flying (again!) last time all hell broke lose as neighbour one side has chickens and a dog and the other a big pot bellied free range pig! We woke up to a zoo in our garden!

MissionItsPossible · 03/01/2018 00:07

I've heard two bins toppe over and heard the contents falling onto the street 😡

lovemylover · 03/01/2018 00:12

North Yorkshire here and nothing, very quiet, no rain at the moment, but weather forecast said it would hit here

Mrsknackered · 03/01/2018 00:13

West Yorkshire and my (full) bins are across the street. FFS.

WellAlwaysHaveParis · 03/01/2018 00:14

Oh gosh ru345 :( that sounds scary! Were you going to sleep in the caravan?

HopefullyAnonymous · 03/01/2018 00:15

I’m in London too, blowing a bloody gale. Not loud enough to drown out my neighbour though, who’s currently dragging furniture about 😡

ohfortuna · 03/01/2018 00:18

South East coast, strong wind and rain, mind you it's always windy on the coast and I've heard worse

ohfortuna · 03/01/2018 00:20

I love the sound of storms. Anyone else feel the same or am I just a straaange person
I like it too :o

gillybeanz · 03/01/2018 00:20

It's very windy in Greater Manc/East Lancs, I'm glad I'm warm and dry inside.
Sympathy to anyone having to travel to/ work in these conditions.
