I love him dearly but I will be glad to have the house to myself once more and be able to get on with stuff and get back into my routines and be able to clean surfaces knowing that they wont' be covered in toast crumbs 30 minutes later.(No kids at home.)

I know when he retires I'll have him here full time but will cross that bridge later!

Anyone else feel the same?

We run a business together, mainly working from home (though dh is in London for two days a week).

I’m not looking forward to us both getting back to work on Thursday. I enjoy just forgetting about the business for a while as it’s all encompassing.

Poor darling DH. He woke up with a tooth abscess and managed to get an emergency dentist appointment. It's a molar and dentist told him it that root canal treatment would be approx. £1000. Does this sound reasonable to you? They make it up as they go along.

Anyway, I feel sufficient guilty now at wishing to have the house to myself and feel I tempted providence!
