My mum just asked me this, Just for fun and it took me ages to think of an answer!

If you had...

Boy/Boy. Girl/Girl. Boy/Girl.

What names would you choose?

Just trying to cheer myself up today with some light hearted baby name fun.

In my extended family there are twins called Emma and Gemma...

It would be a miracle in every sense if I had twins at my advanced age, but if I did they would be:

Hector and Rufus
Hector and Reinette
Reinette and Taru

VelvetSpoon · 26/12/2017 11:13

Sorry I obviously posted mine the wrong way round, BB/ BG/ GG.

IHaveACuntingPlan · 26/12/2017 11:14

I've taught an April and May, a Jack and Daniel and a Harley and David.

If I had b/g twins I'd name them Jack and Jill or Brian and May.

NutellaCookie · 26/12/2017 11:19

I know of some twins called Olivia and Oliver...

I have twin boys, they don’t have matching or novelty names.

If we’d had girls they would have been Aoife and Clara.

Lots of people give twins/multiples names that match or sound very similar because they think it’s cutesy. It isn’t that cute when they are no longer babies.

Rossigigi · 26/12/2017 11:32

I have GG (identical) twins - Felicity and Scarlett
If we had BB twins they would have been Harry and Oliver
B/G twins would have been Scarlett and Alexander

I already have three lovely boys so have used my favourite boys names, also I have been sterilised recently so this is not going to happen, but if it was entirely up to me:

Klara and Sofia
Sofia and Roman
Roman and Leo

In reality I don't see DH liking Leo and Roman wouldn't work with our last name (too much like Polanski) or we would have used it for ds3.

Mountainpika · 26/12/2017 11:47

Sausage and Mash

I'm enjoying the silly ones.
No chance of twins for me a) I'm way too old and b) I haven't got the necessary parts now after an operation last year.

Oscar and jasper (except I already have a son with one of those names but I think they go really well together)
Isabella and Isadora (Bella and Dora for short)
Marinel and Florimel (boy/ girl twins groom The Faerie Queen).

TillyMint81 · 26/12/2017 11:53

Middleoftheroad · 26/12/2017 12:09

I have twin boys and avoided names that

a) rhymed (Dom/Tom)
b) Aliteration (Alfie/Archie)
c) cliches - Bert and Ernie!

We also gave the younger twin a name starting with an initial that comes before the older twin's first initial so that twin 'b' would come first sometimes. 11 years on and it worked for us.
