Teen dss is still awake so I had to put a cover over the hampers I made in case he pops down for a drink

I made it myself. I visited friends in Germany just before Christmas a few years back and she had one, so I nicked it from her! It's an advent crown. Light a candle every Sunday in advent, so by the time we got to today, all four were lit.

It's actually the base from my mothers old gas fire. I didn't want to throw it out for some reason and I shifted it around for years, until I went to Germany and got a light bulb moment!

I fill it will holly and ivy from the garden, cinnamon sticks and dried orange segments, put the candles in and it's done. It is big, but I've got a big coffee table, so it works.

Ffs - thought we were all go, but dd2 has just waken up and just missed dp's first present dash from our room. More gin it is then!

DD wanted an office chair.

Mine are older now so the days of a floor covered in toys are long gone!

Bought a silver tree this year, as we celebrated our Silver Wedding Anniversary in September.

Well we have a crappy tree to round up a crappy year Little fibre-optic tree we've used a few years when we don't have enough space for a bigger one, but I got it out today to find out the fibre-optics are broken. So now it just looks sad .

Not super in love with the ribbon on ours but DD really wanted it so I gave in. Still wrapping presents but not too many yet to go. I wish smells could translate through the Internet. DH just brought the tree home fresh cut two days ago and it's a wonderfully fragrant Fraser fir.

This is ours, please excuse the state of it. The dog ate half of our baubles, and I left DD decorating the tree this year!

Here’s ours, we’ve been a bit bah humbug this year and ds is only 19 months, but we put it up this evening after he went to bed and I’m glad we did now, I can’t wait to see his face!! He woke up twenty minutes ago and I cane up to settle him - he went straight back to sleep but I am snuggled in next to him for a bit enjoying sleepy Christmas cuddles! What a lovely thread OP
