If your kids are constantly going mental screaming and shouting banging on the floor jumping etc.

Week day and weekend times would be appreciated. Just to make sure I'm not being unreasonable.

Just to confirm it's (playing) not tantrums etc.

Thanks in advance

Quiet time between 9pm at the very latest and 8am at the earliest. I'm normally up at 5am so any early bird, however many of my friends get up early at 8am lol

flumpybear · 22/12/2017 23:40

8pm

Heratnumber7 · 22/12/2017 23:40

My kids wouldn't be constantly going mental screaming and shouting banging on the floor jumping etc in my house so it wouldn't be a problem.

flumpybear · 22/12/2017 23:41

Oh and that behaviour in my house is never tolerated, and we have no neighbours

EB123 · 22/12/2017 23:41

Between 8.30 and 9pm is the latesr here for the main light to go off and reading in bed. That's for my 7 year old. Before that he isn't particularly noisy anyway usually just playing with lego.

Ashamedandblamed · 22/12/2017 23:43

The kids are 4 and 8. Also a baby under 1. God knows where that is. Confused

I wouldn’t have banging, screaming, shouting and floor jumping in the first place.

lunar1 · 22/12/2017 23:44

We are detached, but I don't let my children behave like that at any hour.

Ashamedandblamed · 22/12/2017 23:45

I am also detached, just on the wrong side apparently !

OP posts:
lunar1 · 22/12/2017 23:47

Your neighbours can hear all that racket from a detached house?

Mousewatch · 22/12/2017 23:48

We sometimes have a crazy hour before bed so about 6pm I'll put the music on and we'll all be silly but I don't let my DC run or bang around at other times.

We only have one neighbour and he is deaf but I still wouldn't want to disturb his visitors.

My DC are up at 6am and I don't let them be noisy until 7:30 at the earliest

Ashamedandblamed · 22/12/2017 23:52

Just to confirm ,sorry.

I am quiet normal neighbour and I live next to the circus next door.

I am semi detached but the joined house is noisey af and the non attached neighbour Is quiet!

I thought it was tantrums every night at 10-11:30 however after going outside all the lights are on screaming shouting and apparently they are 'playing'.

I am definitely not feeling broody today !

If your kids are constantly going mental screaming and shouting banging on the floor jumping etc.

Yep, sort that out - unacceptable at any time of the day.

Ashamedandblamed · 22/12/2017 23:53

Just wanted to check I'm not the mega Bitch neighbour for complaining that's all. Smile

Apparently not everyone needs sleep!

If your kids are constantly going mental screaming and shouting banging on the floor jumping etc.

Not a scenario that would ever happen in our home, nor ever be tolerated. So I'd allow our lovely neighbours to sleep at all hours, 24/7.

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 22/12/2017 23:56

Do you live next to the feral family that we’re on TV? Grin I really do pity their neighbours.

InspMorse · 22/12/2017 23:56

Read update... THEY - circus parents - need to sort out their offspring. Unacceptable at any time of the day.

InspMorse · 22/12/2017 23:56

YANBU. Complain away.

StinkyMcgrinky · 23/12/2017 00:01

I have similar neighbours 😕 semi detached and can hear the kids next door at all hours. Honestly. They are aged 18months -11 years old and often still running up and down stairs and, what I can only assume, is jumping on beds gone 11pm.

I'm in bed before them! I have two kids (1 and 3) and they generally get up around 6 and we'll watch CBeebies with breakfast and maybe do some colouring. Nothing loud or disruptive until around 8am (e.g. the keyboard or xylophone!)

ForagingForFaerieGold · 23/12/2017 00:01

What is it with bloody neighbours? If it's not dogs, it's DIY or feral kids or late night parties... etc.
Yes complain and be prepared to be told to fuck off.
People like this don't give 2 shits about anyone.

Sorry.

Ashamedandblamed · 23/12/2017 00:07

Oh they only move in this year.

They preferred to do DIY at night.

Now apparently they have a underground wrestling arena in their living room.

I did complain. I must admit I lost it as my blood was boiling for a good hour listening to it.

Then when I see al lights on and it was 'playing' I did flip my lid a bit /alot Blush

Can I complain about kid noise to the council? It is a council property so should I complain to them again?

When it was DIY they sent me a noise diary but i had already bought ear defenders from b&q by the time it had arrived so I cba Grin

YANBU, not on at all! I don't think complaining will do much good though, sadly. Sad

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 23/12/2017 00:13

Yes you can complain to the council. It’s antisocial behaviour.

Ashamedandblamed · 23/12/2017 00:14

Hopefully it stops after today.

Where do I find the houses with the nice quiet neighbours !!! I guess my luck run out the last tennant didn't even use the upstairs of his house he was so quiet!

BulletFox · 23/12/2017 00:18

DIY at night??

The council can be a bit shit in my experience. Police were brilliant. Pursue it any means you can, as there are noise restriction laws.

11.30pm is a bit late for banging and screaming. I'm a complete insomniac and might occasionally play a song during the night but not loudly. Anyway good luck with it!
