To have refused to pay extra at the hairdresser?

Went to hairdresser today. Chatted about what I wanted with the hairdresser and then got taken to the sink by an assistant who shampoo'd my hair twice and then conditioner before taking me back to my seat with the hairdresser.

The hairdresser was combing my hair and said "ooohhh it smells lovely, Sarah did you use a treatment?" And Sarah replied that she did...

Next thing I know, I'm being charged £12.50 for a 'treatment' that I didn't ask for and that I didn't want. In fact, I'm not even convinced I had it at all!

WIBU to refuse to pay for it? The hairdresser made out that I was!

I’d pay £12.50 to not have the head massage!

YWNBU.

Absolutely NBU OP and well done for refusing to pay! That hairdresser is a seriously cheeky fucker!

I had a hairdresser once who spent the entire cutting process lecturing me on how I had the most difficult-to-cut hair she'd ever come across. I was Hmm - my hair is straight, shoulder length, in pretty good condition, utterly unremarkable and generally behaves itself I may hate it but that doesn't give her the right to slag it off At least she didn't try to charge me extra though!

My current hairdresser is AMAZING. She trained at one of the big name salons but opted for the quiet life and works from home. I get tea in a china teapot with a china cup and saucer, homemade cookies, chocolates, a head massage, a hot towel and a two hour gossip with her. And the whole shebang costs about 1/5th of what it would cost in the salon she trained in. I think I'm a little bit in love with her Blush
